I forgot to ask this today when I looked at a hall. We are having little children at our wedding, about 10 of them. I doubt they are going to eat Chateaubriand. Are your halls offering a special meal option for children. Should I expect to pay full adult plate price for a child?

Re: Kids food at weddings?
My place is free for kids under 3, 1/3 off for under 12 (i think) Most places actually have 1/2 off for kids, my rh for some reason was the highest.

most places are 1/2 off for kids under 12 and there is usally an option for chicken fingers and french fries... but they can eat anything off the menu with the option of kids meal all for the 1/2 price... also usually kids are only 1/2 price once you meet your minimum

Re: Kids food at weddings?
i have been told kids are 1/2 price after you meet your minimum as well. i also was told kids are 1/3 off the price. however my parents have decided that once we book they are going to bargain with the RH because they are not paying $80+ (depending which hall i use) per child for them to eat chicken fingers & french fries & pasta with butter.

chicekn fingers and french fried. Children plates should range at least half price of adult plates. you should do some research wit yor RH.

I asked all the RHs I visited about this- just about all of them said kids were half price. However, if you're using the kids to fulfill your minimum- you may have to pay full price. HTH

same here...except the kids I believe get chicken fingers and they are $32-something after taxes per plate...But if you use them to fufill the minimum you have to pay full price (yikes, $120 a kid seems like alot now that im thinking about it...)

I know kids 12 and under and vendors are 1/2 priced meals. Didn't even think of asking about chicken fingers! Gotta add that to my list. I'm sure the kids would like that so much better.

i would try to fulfill min first then add kids because more than likely they wil not eat anyway and even 32 bucks sounds alot for some chicken fingers lol

at my hall kids under 12 were half price and kids under 5 were free! One of the 7year olds did opt for the filet mignon and ate every piece of it
