If you have or had kids age 7 and under in your bridal party, did they ride in the limo? I dont think you can put more than 2 booster/car seats in a limo- anyone know. The limo people seem clueless about this when I've asked.

Re: Kids in Bridal Party Question
we are doing the party bus... the RB & FG will not be with us... their parents arent in the BP... if they were the kids would ride in the limo with my parents to the RH... not with the BP... thats how my sister did it for her wedding

Wow, that never even occurred to me. I'm only having a ring bearer and his mom is my BM, so he's coming in the limo, but I never considered the car seat thing. I'm interested to know the answer.

I'm not sure there is a limit on the # of seats, but the limo company should be able to provide you with boosters or car seats if you need them.

Re: Kids in Bridal Party Question
we have two FGs and two RBs and we're looking for a party bus... we asked a bunch if they had seatbelts, some did, most didn't.. but according to the thousands (ok, it FEELS like thousands but is only like a dozen) of companies I spoke to, supposedly children do NOT need a car seat or booster seat while in a limo or party bus.
FSIL is the mother of the 2 rbs and 1 fg and other FSIL is the mother of the other fg... both are in the BP and offered to drive themselves. which FH and I don't want.... but hey, its their kids.
• What are the rules regarding child safety seats and seatbelts in taxicabs?
Drivers of yellow medallion taxicabs and for-hire vehicles and their passengers, are exempt from laws regarding car seats and seatbelts. Keep in mind, the TLC encourages everyone in the vehicle to buckle their seatbelts while riding in a cab. There are no Taxi and Limousine Commission rules regarding this, as it is a State exemption. Passengers with children are encouraged to bring their own car seats, which the drivers must allow passengers to install. *NOTE - Children under the age of seven are permitted to sit on an adult's lap.

I know for a bus, a car seat is not required by law. I am thinking more about safety. God forbid they didnt have a car seat and something happend, I would feel horrible.

cause most buses don't have any seat belts, some have ONE.. I think two companies we spoke to had two... but the seats are usually wavy and the car seat won't sit right.

Just make sure they are buckled in...I won't impart it here, because its horrific...but there was a situation with a drunk driver where a little girl was not buckled in (she was lap riding)...the really short story is she did not survive.

Re: Kids in Bridal Party Question
I am not having them in the Limo. I thought about it, and then remembered when Katie Flynn (the 7yo from long beach) was in the limo on her way home from a wedding with the family, was killed when they were hit by a drunk driver. Was it b/c she wasn't wearing a seatbelt? Noone knows, but god forbid...I could never live with that.

we are having a Party Bus but I don't believe the kids will be on it. We are going to take pictures of the whole BP with the RBs and FG at the church since one of our RBs will not be going to the RH.

Re: Kids in Bridal Party Question
WE are having our niece and nephew who will both be 3. They will be in boosters in the bus on the way there and boosters in the van coming home. Our limo company was more than happy to offer boosters to us.

Katie was a student in the school my sister teaches at and knew the family well. Without going into the graphic details of it, Katie actually was wearing a seatbelt in the limo.

Ah, ok...I couldn't remember whether or not she was. I just remember how this community was ripped apart, and I can't bring myself to having the kids in the limo. Thanks for the clarification however!

Re: Kids in Bridal Party Question
Omg I never thought of this! my babies (my twin nieces who I am crazy about. Love them love them!) will be 3 on sunday, still too young to be without car seats. Need to talk to my sister about this because I had planned on having them in the limo. You girls think of everything!

Re: Kids in Bridal Party Question
As long as there is a seat belt to strap the seat in with than your good. As for actual carseats/boosters. There parents can supply them.
