i know that someone posted yesterday that there is a state law about not having kids/toddlers in limos b/c they need a child seat.
i was wondering if anyone found a way to make this work -- like if i get a limo bus, can a child seat be put in?
i thought we had this figured out...but if kids cant come in the limo and the parents (who are in the BP) need to drive, it is going to change a lot of things.
any advice or suggestions are appreciated.
anyway, im glad this was brought up BEFORE i booked anything!!

Re: kids in limo?
You could always ask the limo company. Or can the kids be driven by anyone else? Like their grandparents that might NOT be in the wedding?

it would wind up making it really difficult and complicated...obviously if we have to, we will have to find a way.....but off hand i cant really think of an easy solution :-/

Re: kids in limo?
I have no clue how to put them in, but the parents were able to do it in just a couple mins... and between the parents and the limo driver (who would know the limo's hook-ups & straps) it shouldn't be too hard.
And if you have a parent that isn't comfortable with their child riding in the limo, they can always follow the limo (I had one do that and that was fine too)

umm i think most car seats are seatbelted in, so as long as there is a seatbelt, they can be strapped in. not 100% sure. but the parents should know more info about their car seats.

Re: kids in limo?
check with the parents - they might not even want their kids in the limo. one of my BM's, her daughters are my FG's, and she won't let them go in the limo, so she and her husband are following in their own car

We plan to have the parent of the flowergirls and ring bearer, who are not in the wedding, to drive the kids afterward. I don't want them in the limo.

Re: kids in limo?
my ring bearers were in FBIL and FSILs wedding 2½ years ago and they were in the limo (age 2½ & 4 at the time) they just put the car seat in the limo.
i remember going to my uncles wedding at age 4 and not sitting in the carseat.

Re: kids in limo?
Our limo company (Royalty) told us they would allow children in the limo as long as the child seat was provided by the parent. The driver will install the seat.

Re: kids in limo?
The ring bearer at my friends wedding was under 2 i think, and they just supplied the car seat and it was fine... Just keep in mind though that the car seat takes up almost to spots for passengers (or at least thats about what the seat they used did)

Re: kids in limo?
As a parent I would not want my small child riding in the limo. I would check with the parents befor booking anything thing. They could follow the limo in the car or like someone else said have the kids ride with someone else, FMIL or FSIL. That way the parents can take pictures without having to worry about the kids

Re: kids in limo?
It is a law that children under a certain age/height/weight need to be in a child seat -- for ANY car.
For limos it is not a problem as they are equipped with seat belts to hold the child seat in.
From what I was told by several companies Limo Buses DO NOT come with seat belts -- therefore you can't install a child seat. Now double check with the company you are booking with as they may have updated their fleet or got new buses and they may have belts now but as of this time last year they did not.
We had the same problem with my Flower Girls. I ended up having my cousin follow the Limo Bus. She was happy to help and my sister knew the girls were with someone safe. As a thank you my sister got her a small gift and a gas card.

I'm going to ask the parents of the kids in the Wedding Party if they want them in the limos. If so, we'll put car seats in.
