kids poll

So i was reading on the BHB boards about why or why not ppl want children at your rececption......will you guys be having kids????
if we lived in a perfect world id prefer not to have them.....but cousins of mine are in the BP and their siblings cannot be excluded from the wedding.....if my cousins are invited then FH has to invite his too....so we're kinda screwed!!!

I am having kids. my fh and I are the younger of our siblings. We each have three older sibling who each have at least one child. I could not imagine excluding these children. They are my family. I want all my family members at our wedding.

so far i'm in the minority---no rugrats at our wedding. we even rather boldly put 'Adult reception to follow' on our invites.

our families are just TOO big. i love kids, but there's just no way i can have like 20-something kids under the age of 10 at my wedding. our guest list is only about 120 people--can you imagine if 20-25% of our guests were all small children??? and my family is notorious for thinking they have a 'roomful of baby-sitters' when they bring their kids someplace.

it's all about personal choice. i applaud those who have kids there; but usually i find they are having at MOST 10 or so. if i said yes to 1, i have to allow all 20-something kids!

No kids at mine either. There arent too many kids but I want everyone to enjoy themselves and not have to worry about their kids.

No kids. There are very few anyway (like 2) and I don;t want my cousin;s ridiculously hyperactive uncontrolled maniac running loose at the wedding.

If you would have 100 less people without kids-have only first cousins, and tell friends to find babysitter's-if they really can't, then bring them. 100 kids is going to be nuts and people aren't going to enjoy themselves as much running after 100 kids and trying to make sure none of them get hurt. My mom told everyone no kids and had no flower girl or ring bearer.

most definately!!! FH and I are both teachers ( woohoo!) so kids are a huge part of our lives and couldnt imagine a wedding without them!

I am having my cousins... but the youngest is 10. I don't really consider them kids.

we're having kids at our wedding...FH has a lot of nieces and nephews and younger cousins so to say no kids at the wedding never even crossed our minds...they're good kids and really fun so i have no worries

I just can't exclude my cousins, nieces and nephews from the wedding. They are part of my family and I wouldn't want to do that to them.

My sister is my MOH and she has 2 boys (my nephews) and of course theres my 8 year old son walking me down the aisle, and also my RB and FG. Sometimes it's just NOT possible to exclude children. Doesn't bother me at all.

only the kids in the BP - they are coming from England so I have to allow them to come to the wedding and since they have to come (and they are my cousins) I asked them to be in the BP. but originally, I wasnt going to have any kids at the wedding

yea - we're having about 14 kids under 18 at our wedding. The really lil ones are all pretty well behaved so I don't think they'll be any problems...atleast I hope not!

we're going to have about 10 kids at our wedding ... they are mostly immediate family (like my nieces) but were OK with it!

- and 5 of the kids are in the wedding party!
