Could you let me know how Cancun at the Moon Palace is when you get back? We were interested in going there, but wasn't sure.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you spend for Cancun, and for the Cruise??? We've never been on a cruise so we don't know anything about them. Thanks so much!

I don't mind you asking at all!
Our total package for both moon palace and the cruise and airfair was a little over $7,000.00. The cruise was much more expensive than Moon Palance because we went Royal Caribbean with a stateroom with a balcony. We've never been on a cruise either, so we decided to do this one in style. The total for the 7 day cruise was $3,995.50 for 2 people (this includes transfers to and from the ship, an overnight hotel stay in Florida in between cruise and moon palace, and vacation insurance). Moon palace was $1,254.00 for 2 people for 5 nights. Our airfair was $1,633.40 for 2 people.
We chose Moon Palace because it is a little off of the beaten path. We didn't want to be right down in the middle of the hotel zone. We'll let you know how it is when we get back!.
Hope this info helps!

Moon Palace

My FI and I vacationed there a couple of years ago. This is a really nice resort. It isn't actually in Cancun though - it is in Playa Del Carmen. We barely left the resort - they had a couple of different restaurants, pools, night clubs. The beach wasn't as nice as Cancun, simply because of the seaweed. I have found Cancun beaches to be crystal clean and clear. Our trip to Moon Palace was in March of 1999, and they were still building up sections of the resort. The rooms were gourgeous and the service was excellent! It's a pretty romantic place and definitely off the beaten path. The only way into downtown Cancun is by bus or cab - it's about a 15 minute ride! Hope this helps!!!
