Ok so FH's mom passed away when he was 11 and he doesn't have many family members especially female relatives, the aunt he would have danced with is probably not even coming. He is going to dance the mother/son dance with my mother. My question is: what song would you ladies suggest? They are def. pretty close, we have been together 7 years and right now (to save some money) we live with my parents so she is def. like a mother to him. The fact that he doesn't have a mother to dance with really upsets me but he will always have my mother Any suggestions would be helpful.....

You could always skip the mother dance... Im skipping mine, mine passed away too. We're actually not doing parent dances now that I think of it.

Re: Kind of a sad question
I have the same issue. Both of my FH;s parents are not alive. I spoke with him and originally said that we would cut out the parent dances. He was like absolutely not you should dance with your dad and I will dance with you mom! I am so happy that he feels close enough to her to feel comfortable about that.
Unfortunately I am not much help with what song because I have the same questioN!

Would it help if you combined the father/daughter and 'mother/son' dance into one? That might make it easier to pick a song.
I like this idea.. maybe have you start off and then he can ask your mom to dance in the middle?

I'm in the same boat...my FH's mom passed when he was in high school. I think he is going to dance with his older sister, but we have no idea to which song yet.

My Wish by rascal flatts! Love that song! My dad is in a wheel chair so I cant dance with him. I'm gonna do a slide show of us from when I was born and play that song.
