Kind of dumb question, for those who work in food service?

Kind of dumb question, for those who work in food service?

Ok, so we got the personalized M&Ms, now I want to start stuffing them in the little boxes I bought. I'd like to wear gloves when doing this, so as not to actually have to touch the M&Ms. I want to buy the disposable food service gloves, but all I can find are powdered disposable gloves. Are these ok for food service, or should I try to find the unpowdered gloves?

When it says the gloves are powdered, it's usually the inside of the gloves that are powdered and not the outside. I could be wrong in saying this, but every box of gloves I've ever used that were powdered were on the inside only. If they are powdered on the outside, I would not suggest using them.
You could try going to your local food service place and asking for a couple of gloves if you want. I'd suggest blimpies or something like that so you don't have to buy an entire box you're never gonna use.
Also be careful that you are not allergic to latex b/c most of the powdered gloves are made of latex.
For the record, it's not a stupid question. It can be very confusing.
Good luck.

I'd say the powder is just inside and it would be fine...

or as a silly suggestion, you can use what's in your house like sandwich bags or clean produce bags as gloves... (my future in-laws come home with like 10 unused produce bags from the grocery store everytime they go and use them for everything )

if someone has a latex allergy and the powder contains latex they could potentially have a SEVER reaction... i would look for non-latex-non powdered gloves.. the beauty supply store sells them for cheap

using a zip lock bag over your hands is just as good!
