What did you do during delivery? I wear contacts but was wondering if you have to wear your glasses.

Sorry if it's a silly question but just something I was thinking about....

I was able to keep my contacts in when I was in labor. I took them out once I was brought back to my room (at 3:30AM).

I don't know if they'll let you keep them in if you have a c-section though. I know everytime I had surgery, I had to take them out, so you might ask your dr about that!

Not silly. I wear contacts and I had my glasses on overnight and during active labor but I put my contacts in when I was ready to push because I actually see better in my contacts plus I hate the way I look in glasses and I know pictures were going to be taken so I wanted my contacts in.

Thanks for your responses. I feel like you Dani that I see better and feel better with the contacts. It's nice to know that it may be an option then one day.

I was in labor from 6:48pm - 5:09pm the next day and never took my contacts out. I had a c/s and she was born at 5:10pm and I still wore mine.

I wore my contacts the whole time, and I had a c-section.

I always wondered this. Thank you for your answers. I want to keep my contacts in. I just can't tolerate my glasses!

I wore my contacts the entire time. I wondered the same question. They were in for over 27 hours.
