Kinda bummed...(kinda long)

Kinda bummed...(kinda long)

I had wanted to ask my oldest cousin to be one of my bridesmaids for the wedding. She has 3 younger sisters too but I was only asking her b/c 1.the other 3 are too young to be bridesmaids and 2. it would throw off the number in the BP if I did ask all of them to be in it.

So I called my aunt (their mom) tonight to see what she thought of the situation. At first she was like 'Oh they'll get over it.' but then she was like 'let me try and feel them out over the weekend.' Shes not going to come right out and say anything but I guess she'll bring up the topic of our wedding and see what they all say.

But now if she tells me that she doesnt think it's a good idea to ask my oldest cousin and not the others, then Im gonig to be short a BM!

Ive been trying to think of other things the other 3 could do, but so far all Ive come up with is to hand out the petal cones. But it wouldnt require all three of them. We're not having programs so that s out of the question to hand out.

My only other thought was to have the three of them as Jr. BM's but then that means my aunt has to buy 4 dresses!!

I'll find out on Sunday what her answer is when they all come over for a BBQ. But until then Im going to be worrying!

aww i know i wanted one of my cousins to be in mine..but then i felt bad not asking my other cousins and didnt want anyone to get hurt so i decided not to ask her (it was her mom who said she really wanted to be in it- she would be a junior bm, so its not like she was a good friend or anything also)

i hope everything works out for u tho! and that its ok to just have one of them in BP

No, we're getting married at East WInd. I just feel like if they are not at an 'equal status' in the wedding that they will be mad at me.

NO OFFENSE to your aunt but she should be happy that you are asking the oldest. I would say im either going to put her in or none.. what are you going to have the whole family? why doesnt everyone stand in line and get sized for a BM dress? hahaha I can understand that the 2 younger ones might be sad that they are not in it (more so because they prob dont understand the whole process and etc) but with a little explaination, im sure they would be fine.

my brother has been in 4 of my cousins weddings and i have been in none, and i am older.. its not that big of a deal.

GOOD LUCK, dont let all this stuff get you down! in the grand scheme of things, its not that big! its your day!

Ahh, don't stress about it...if your aunt does say that your other cousins will be offended, maybe you could just have a talk with them saying that you would really love to have them in your party but you can't...they're family, do you think they'd understand where your coming from....

The only reason why I think that they might not would be because they are on the younger side.

The youngest one will be 10, the next will be 13 and the second to oldest will be 15. Thats why I was thinknig maybe Jr. BM's would be more appropriate.

Jr bridesmaid is appropriate for the 10 yr old. I dont think you should have to include all three if you dont want to. If you are going to be one BM short then I would say.. that is ok. You dont have to have even amounts.
