Kinda down ...

So I've been so psyched about my Vegas Bachelorette Party and I had 4 girls who were definites, and 2-3 that were maybes. We've been telling everyone about the trip since November, but we told them that if they can't make it, we understand (obviously, money is an issue, so we didn't want anyone to feel like they *had* to go - in fact, only 1 of my 3 BM's is going, but 4 girls total told me for sure they were in).

So I sent the email with all the info for the trip and asked them to just email me back to confirm they were in. Only 2 of the 4 girls told me they were in, a 3rd said she can make it if we switch to a less $ hotel, and *no one else responded*.

So it looks like it will only be me and 2 other girls. The less $ hotels are off strip or all the way at the end of the strip, don't know what the pools are like, etc., so I prefer not to switch (and the hotel I chose isn't really expensive). So I'm kinda bummed... Alrighty, really bummed.

I know I'll have a great time with my two friends, but I can't help but feel.... I don't know... I just wish a couple more girls were going. Everyone else that is going or went away for their bach parties (of my friends) has at least 5 people who went with them (some have had way more). Whatever. It'll be fun.

Aww. Sorry Yesenia. Id be disappointed too. Maybe some more girls will pull through and if not, their loss!!!! Like you said, you will have an awesome time regardless.

i can understand you feeling bummed, but i guarantee that when you get there you will forget about it and have a blast! of course you will miss your friends who weren't able to make it, but i can bet that you won't have a worse time because of it.

Aw hun that's awful!! I know how bummed I get when people tell me they're game for something and in the end something comes up and the plan just falls apart... At best, I suggest that you follow up with the girls that didn't respond one on one. If i said i was going to go and I was trying to get out of it, a mass email would be so much easier to reject vs a personal email from the person that's inviting. stress to them how much you'd like them to be there and how it wouldn't be a bachlorette party without them!

Also...and i know this is a long shot...how about switching it up? I know you said you and Luis always vacation in Vegas and that you both wanted your bachlor/ette parties to be there...if it's THAT expensive (and i know you did your research, you got them the most bang out of their bucks) how about going somewhere else...like south beach?? sobe is SO MUCH FUN, it's great, it's on the east coast and maybe it'll be easier on the wallets of your chicas...

awwww feel better Yesenia!! I know that it stinks finding out that everyone can't make it!! My FH is going to Vegas for a WEEK and I thought I was going to be able to go to South Beach, but at this point it just doesn't look like it will happen! So maybe we'll do a weekend in the Hamptons and rent a house or something, who knows!! Don't feel too bummed, you can always do a weekend trip w/ the girls after you're married!! (at least that's what I've been telling myself!!)

Guess what, I've already reached out personally to everyone who didn't respond - left voicemails (lol, maybe they're avoiding me???) and they haven't called back. Oh well.

As for the trip, it's the same price as going to South Beach, believe it or not. The flight is a little longer (5 hours instead of 3 1/2), but it averages out to just about the same price. Also, we did South Beach for my friend's bach party 3 years ago (she's one of the two that's coming with me!) so I didn't want to do the same thing.

Oh well, what can you do?

Awww I'm sorry Maybe the other girls will surprise you this weekend and tell you that they are able to go. Either way I know you will have loads of fun.

Remember - what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas !

Vegas is awesome....you'll have a great time and the girls that didn't go will have to listen to all your fun stories !! Have something small and invite a huge group of people then you'll have had more than one celebration Who could be down after all that !

aww...sorry your bummed. I can totally understand though ...you get yourself all pshyced up and then...there are no shows.

You'll have a blast anyways..so don't worry.

You may have an even better time being just the three of you because there will be no bickering as to who wants to go where. You can decide easier this way. Enjoy Vegas!!!

Hey hon, I am sorry this is happening. I know you will have a great time no matter what.

Similar thing happened to my FH. Hes been telling his party about his vegas bachelor party since we got engaged and they were all for it. now that they were actually trying to plan it almost everyone backed out and now hes just changing it to somewhere less expensive I felt sooo bad for him – so I def know EXACTLY how you feel! I hate when people (especially good friends) overpromise and cant deliver when the time comes

Same thing happenned to ME. We were going to Florida. Invited lots of girls (6 girls)...they all argued about where they wanted to go...and in the end, only my SISTER and best friend could make it.

The negative: It would have been a wilder time with more girls.

The POSITIVES:
1. Planning what to do was easier w 3 ppl
2. We got more room in the condo
3. We spoke MUCH more intimately than we would have if there were more people invited. It felt like it was a trip with 2 sisters...SO SWEET.

Gotta focus on the positives
