kinda long - question about alterations BM dresses

I ordered the BM dresses at a store that doesnt do alterations. Which was fine with me and the girls.
The dresses came in and everyone has them.
Obviously most girls are going to need alterations ----- so should I just pick one place and make them all go there - or just have everyone do their own where ever they want??

The lenght of the dresses is above the ankle 2-3 inches and looks horrible. So I was just planning on telling them to do whatever length they want as long as its at the knee or below (nothing above the knee)
What do you ladies think? Is this fine --- to kind of leave the ball in their court and they could do whatever they want with it?
Or is this a bad idea?

Honestly its best if you let them all bring it to wherever they want. You dont want to deal with picking one place for all the girls to go and maybe one having a problem with it. its extra stress that really isn't necessary. Some people have their own place they like to bring it to and feel comfortable and plus some places are more convenient to some girls. I told my girls to bring it wherever they want but if they didnt have anybody and wanted a suggested i can suggest a place

Well....I dont see why they cant go to their own seamstresses if you dont care about the length...

If you did I would ask them to maybe go to the same seamstres...or just say '4' below knee...

but since they can be diff lengths...diff seamstresses shld be ok!

You could have them get them done at their own place or maybe do some research (I know a lot of girls have said Bridal Elegance (?) does alterations) and give them a few ideas of where to go.

For the hem: If you want a more uniform look, then tell them to get all the same, such as an inch below the knee. Or you could say to get them tea length hemmed.

If you don't want a uniform look, then you could give a range such as anywhere between tea length and inch below the knee for example.

exactly so don't add to it, you have enough things to worry about lol. Ask the girls if they have somebody and if not maybe make suggestions to them

if it were me i would tell them a specific length like X inches below the knee. I dont think it would look right if they all had different lengths.

i would also just let them choose a place near them to have their alterations done

my cousin lives in staten island so she will just pick up the dress and have the alterations done by her

Yeah I know - it would look nice if they were all the same lenght - but with the shorter dresses - some girls like how their leg looks like whne its covered up to her knee the other when its much lower.
i want to give them some freedom!
my sis already said she looks like a friggin apple martini in that dress!
