kinda scared

The last few days I've been getting these flash headaches that last less than 5 seconds, will go away and will come back a few times. They are in the back right side of my head. Everything will be fine, then it will hit me like a ton of bricks. I was just argueing with FH ( ) then it hit me twice. Its over now, but now I have a dull pain in the back like it wants to come back again. Anyone know what this is?

I have never heard of this but I would get it checked out

it could be as simple as stress or you need glasses, but go to the doctor and get it checked out.

Sounds a bit like eye strain. Or maybe even caffeine withdrawal -- have you changed your coffee habits lately?

I would def get this checked into. I have had these same type of headaches since Feb but they are in my right temple. So I went to a Neuro doc who tells me that I have cluster headaches. They can be very severe thankfully mine are not as bad as they could be.

Thanks guys. I'll make an appt with my dr. I have a few health related problems so I should definitely go in for a tuneup.

That's cute.

The fact that they are going away quickly would lead me to think they are stress-related (if the pain was consistent and severe, it might be more migraine in description)

IT does sound similar to cluster headaches, but again I do think the pain would last a LOT longer

Definitely get it checked out, if your regular MD cannot help than they can recommend you to a neurologist who specializes in these conditions and can definitely pinpoint what is ailing you

FEEL BETTER

Well, that might be the case. I've been stressing about our payment to the catering hall. Half the balance is due and I'm pretty strung out about it. Come to think of it the first headache I got was when FH brought up a couple of issues his mom has with the wedding. Either way, my sugar has been high from what I can only assume is stress(diabetes) so Im better off going to the doc anyway. I feel a little bit better knowing why though. Thanks girls!!
