Well as most of you know Im booked at the Meadow Club .. You also know i changed my date and night .. From june 22nd which is a firday night to ... Oct. 13th which is a sat. the price is going up & 12.00 each person .. The part that upsets me is everyone i talk to is getting things for freein they package .. there not doing any deals at all..... Chair covers a $3.00 each more .... per person now its going to be like 83.00 + 3.00 ... For the meadow club .. i feel like thats alot for them .. i mean alot of others places are cheaper i dont know now ...

I feel you! Luckily my banquet manager threw my chair covers in, or else it was an additional $7 per chair. October is a very popular month, so the deals that used to be are no more. Did you try talking to your banquet manager?

$85 is a great price for a Saturday night during a prime month. You normally get a pretty big discount for choosing Friday or Sundays. Unfortunately if you've already booked then you've lost most of your bargaining power as far as them throwing things in. If you come in under your minimum you can try to get more stuff added.

Yeah i never knew oct was a big month .. i thought june was the biggest month .... Im going to try to get them to do something ill take anything at this point just to feel alitlle better ..

MC did the same w. us when we used them for my daughters Christening party. They didnt throw anything in while other places did! I was upset over it. But they did end up doing open bar for us and it was a great price. At the time I was thrilled but now that I think about it I feel like it was a waste...not many ppl drank on a Sunday afternoon for a childs party!

Yep, this is very true. I mean, I'm paying more than $85 per person for a Friday night in October (I would say considerably more with tax and tip), so $85 is really not that bad.
And since they know you are already booked, they have very little incentive to give you a break anywhere. I would still see if they will throw in the chair covers for you.
Remember, you went from June to October (both prime months) BUT you went from a Friday night to a Saturday night. That's where the bump in price is. And to be honest, the difference between a Friday and Saturday night at all the places I visited was usually $20-40 a person, so $12 is not that much.
I know that everything adds up, but just wanted to give you a different perspective overall.

THank you girls for all your in put .. I just wish they would throw something in then i would feel like im getting something lol... AT this point they could lie to me ...... : i know eveything is money ... Well thank god FH aunt is willing to cover the money for the day change she wanted the sat, i didnt care i didnt care as long as it was at night ..

Each hall is different - but my hall told me that the Prime months are April, May, June, (beg of July, end of Aug.) September, October and Beg of November
So basically only the extremely cold and extremely hot mths are not cheaper.
