Kinda upset

Soo I just got my swatch of my dress in the mail and the color is 'silk white' so it's not a true white white (which I knew). Anyway I was looking for shoes to match and I was telling FH that is so hard b/c the color of the dress is not true white...and he flipped he's like - what? you should be wearing WHITE!!! So I'm really upset now...and now I'm second guessing my dress...actually have been for a while - I feel like I hate it. But there's no way I'm shelling out more $$ for a dress (I'm paying for the 1rst one and that was alot of money as is) This is it.

But you are wearing white. It's just that in silk the white isn't pure white. IMO silk is such a beautiful fabric...so elegant. Do not change it. Believe me he won't know that it isn't 'Satin white' when he sees you.
As far as shoes.....you get either a silk shoe or you have the satin ones dyed diamond white to match your swatch.
By the way....your dress is gorgeous!!

I bet you your FH wont even know the difference when he sees you walking down that aisle!! He will be so happy. Boys dont even know there are differenty shades of white!! you will look amazing on your wedding day, and if you are really doubting your choice, like you know in your heart its not the right dress then you will figure out what to do...

Your dress is beautiful! FH probably doesn't realize that the color you got is white just not a white white (does that make sense) and only if you put it against white white can you tell the difference. Don't be upset

I agree with the other girls, do you honestly think your FH will be able to tell the difference? to guys white is white lol. you're dress is beautiful, just keep it!

I guess...I already picked out my jewelry to match has white + champagne tones (Thomas Knoell). The shoes are not a big deal - I'm sure I'll find some that match but I'm going through that phase where I'm really second guessing my dress choice and everyone else's dress looks amazing.
Oh btw I'm not wearing the flower on the side soo it's really pretty plain.,,

True I don't think he'll really notice day of...but next to the envelope the fabric swatch looks pretty off-white

I say keep the dress...FH won't know the difference when he sees it. Go back and try it on...build up that excitement you had when you ordered it...that'll make you feel better!

Don't worry. I would bet a $1 Million that he'll think the dress you have is white on your wedding day. It's a beautiful dress, he's not going to freak out that it's not a pure white when he actually sees you in it. He's going to love it, I'm sure!

I think your dress is beautiful!! You will look stunning! Also, when I was dress shopping the sales lady at Saks told me that designers don't really make a true white dress anymore, that todays modern dresses are in shades of whites and ivorys. Not sure that that's 100 percent true, but I think that most designers don't call their dress colors white. With that said my dress did come in Ivory or Latte and I went with Latte because I felt it complimented my skin tone better. I also agree with the other ladies that you FH will never know the difference.

omg you ARE wearing white! Silk white is white its not ivory its not champagne, its white. give the swatch to someone to dye your white shoes, though im sure no one will notice.... hun that dress is beautiful dont second guess it...

MEN DON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SNOW WHITE, DIAMOND WHITE, COTTON BALL WHITE OR WHATEVER WHITE THEY CAN THROW OUT THERE...don't worry about it...he probrably envisions you in some creamy champagne or something.

That is a gorgeous dress! Don't worry, FH just heard you say 'isn't white white' but when he sees you in it, he'll think you're beautiful!

ETS: Also, you picked that color because it looks good on you! Not everyone looks good in stark white.

I am agreeing with all the rest of the women- So dont worry he just is thinking the name is not white. Plus the paper is Bleached and enhanced! Think about the color against your skin. I am sure that it is white

BTW - I am wearing silver shoes for my day of, maybe you could wear like a light gold or something....noone will really see them.

Your dress is beautiful and no one will be able to tell the difference. Just tell FH it is white.

That's a gorgeous dress!!!! But you'll never be able to get a true white-white if you have a silk dress. Even the whitest silk looks slightly off-white. You can only achieve that white-white with non-silk fabrics.

But on the day of, no one will notice!

I think your dress is very pretty and elegant. I also agree with the other girls- on your wedding day, that dress is going to look white to him.

i also think iots perfectly normal to second guess your choice. maybe you just need to try your dress on again to remember why you chose it?

i bet your FH wont even know the diff when he sees you!! i think the dress is beautiful. i don`t think you should stress over it too much. i have thoughts about my dress too like is it truley the one?? but i already paid and have it so guess what...it`s the one no matter what now! i picked it for a reason so it`s staying! i`m not letting myself think too much then i over analize and who knows what will happen! so stay with your dress you loved it when you vought it and you will love it the day you get married in it!
