OK so i posted a few weeks ago how i hate my fh's sil's & i dont want to invite them to my WEDDING!!!!! and everyone was supportinve, etc - i get in the mail yesterday an INVIT to 1 of their daughters 2nd birthdays..... IS SHE KIDDING???? the only reason we were invited (not to be conceited) but my gifts always ROCK..... shes the type that goes places just to get a free meal - i dont want to go so i was talking to FH last night and he says ok dont go but we have to send a gift because the kid is his god daughter - while its not the kids fault byt they also didnt get our daughter anything for christmas!!!!!!!! GRRRRR you can hate me whatever but DO NOT slight my daughter - so what im doing is RSVPing no & sending 1 shirt & 1 pair of shorts as a gift----- am i wrong - honestly please! thanks!
Ok so FH is totally on my side- i RSVPed no and the brother called FH and FH was like NOPE were not going...... gotta love FH thanks ladies by the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree do not go to the party, but definately send a gift. You should be a bigger person and not take it out on the child. (esp since it is FH's god daughter). The good thing is that your FH is supporting you also. GL!

I dont think your wrong...Why would you send a gift to someone's child if they can never acknowledge yours...I do think you are being the better person by sending the outfit...

i wouldn't go to the party but i would still send a gift....like you said its not the kids fault and if its your FH's goddaughter, i would definitely send something....

I would definitely not go to the party. I think that is so wrong that they don't give anything to your daughter!!! It s u cks because you can't really do the same to her child because it's not the child's fault. You are the bigger person for sending a gift.

be the better person and send a gift. u cant stoo down to their level. dont punish the kid cuz their mother is a pos. ya kno? just dont send them a gift that u would normally send. put a $ limit, that way she wont be eager to send u another gift-giving-invitation.

I would def not go to the party. And while they did not give your daughter a gift (which is TOTALLY WRONG of them BTW), I think sending a gift to their child is def the right thing to do. You're being the bigger person by not punishing the kid for the parents shortcomings.
