Thanks Shamma for the recommendation. I couldn't put it down - read the whole thing in two days. Recommended it to my sister and learned it was actually on her required reading list for a class of hers this semester. She loved it too.
Too bad it didn't win the poll - I think you would have enjoyed it a lot more the the Bell Jar.

I read it in two days also. It was really great, and would have lead to a really great and different discussion from what we have had so far.
