Re: king of the castle

Guys...please give it a rest. Tommybride seems to be a nice guy. He got a bit carried away the other night. He apologized. He likes to have fun and lighten things up. Which sometimes I think we all need. Planning a wedding is very stressful. And let me tell you I can get wound up like a top about sh*t about the wedding (yesterday it was the wording on the invitation) and so it's nice to see someone like TB or TMIB or the other dude joking around - its like 'hey have fun while planning the wedding.'

I know what you mean shirley but he did apologize, please give him the benefit of the doubt. If you don't want to, then please ignore him or take it to Forum Mail.

Edited to add: actually shirley, i only read one of your posts in this thread before I originally posted this, and now that i read the whole thread i DON'T know what you mean. how can you say that since this is 99% women on this board tommy shouldn't be psoting here? nowhere in the rules does it say 'women only'. And you know there are like 3 sites out there that i know of that are just for men when it comes to wedding planning. i guess there really isn't a market for planning sites geared towards men. and even if there was, who's to say tommy or the other guys can't post here? I don't know who you are speaking of when you say others don't want TB or other men posting on here but I'm certainly not one of them.

Re: king of the castle

shirley definitely doesn't speak for the majority!
i want tommybride to stay....forever!!!

there is nothing wrong with being honest shirley...but just as others have been reminded, you ARE allowed to use FM if you have a personal problem with one person. And perhaps you could have used that in this case. Sure, your post count doesn't go up when you do that, but at least you don't let all of your personal issues become public knowledge!

But let's all remember that this is a public forum for PEOPLE planning weddings. Just because the majority of the posters are women doesn't mean we have to chase off any men that come on here. Generally speaking, wedding planning is done by the women, but that doesn't mean that there aren't men out there who want to help.

And Tommybride and I dont' get to see each other during the week, so if we get a little silly on here, that's because we miss each other. Do you want to take that away from us????

Am I the only one weirded out by why a guy would WANT to spend his time on here?! I SO know I am going to get flamed for this, but whatever.

And if you don't like his posts IGNORE them. I don't understand what all the fuss is about.

Shirley,
If you dont like the members here whoever they are man or woman, then maybe you need to find yourself somewhere else to post.. We all post things that some may find innapropriate and its up to LIW NOT YOU to make the determination who stays and who goes.

I personally like tommybride here and i do not see any reason he should not be able to post on here. this is after all a WEDDING website, and not a WOMANS only club..

I personally find it rude when people come on here and speak for the majority.. shirley if you dont mind in the future if you decide to stay make sure your posts are from your point of view and do not include anyone else..

Tommy i hope you stay.. I like having you around here...

Re: king of the castle

thanks for all the support ladies.
I cant tell you how much it means to me.

but this thread is focusing on how shirley is speaking for everyone.... now I think its time to put this thread to rest for now.

but I also want everyone to be completly honest about me. there are alot of views on this thread and alot are not putting their two cents in here I see
SO
there may lurk more brides who dislike me according to shirley, and I seriously hate to keep posting knowing im actually disturbing people and making them uncomfortable

so what do you think ladies should I post a poll if I should stay or not?

thanks palebride for coming to my rescue

TommyBride...... you are most wanted and welcomed on here...

and shirley as for your early post on this topic...
you are the one who has numerous times edited your response and deleted it... and
most of your first 100 of 150 posts are ALL SEXUAL...(how do i wake my fh up sexually & i got caught by the police naked in my backyard)... they arent wedding posts so tommybride should be welcome on here AS much as you are..

Personally I prefer ButterMike (j/k) but I agree with Suzanne. This is not a womens only club and sometimes a man prespective on things helps!

I haven't been on the boards much lately, so I don't know Tommybride at all, but I would never ask anyone to leave. If I don't like what they are writing, I ignore them and don't respond.

Tommybride - I don't think you should start a poll. I think it will only draw more attention to this matter, and that is unnecessary. You know there ARE people who want you here, and that's the most important thing. I'm sure it doesn't matter to you how many...I'm sure there are people here who don't like me, but I don't need to go and count them. I just notice that they never respond to my posts, therefore I don't respond to theirs.

Good luck with your plans and hang around...

Re: king of the castle

Completely off on a tangent, but don't forget that the number of views doesn't mean the number of people who have read this. One person may respond and then check every time someone else responds...if 5 people respond, there will be 10 views, etc.

It just bothers me when people get upset about the number of views vs. replies, because it is not necesarily indicative of how many people have actually viewed something.

That being said, everyone is welcome here...male or female. The only time I have ever felt uncomfortable with the male presence on the board was when the Viscious Brides thread was posted. It was unnecessary and I think it's purpose was to further separate the men from the women. However, I did not respond to that thread nor did I say anything about it because while it may have made me uncomfortable, it was not upsetting or worth the trouble and I was just as easily able to put it out of my mind.

JMO, FWIW.

Re: king of the castle

ok I wont post a poll... as it may get alot of drama.
but I do feel like I shold give a chance to some of the brides who want to get me away from this board to actually say what why they want me off.
and also to give them a 'safe way' (let be honest I dont bite) to say it to my face without getting any backlash from me or anyone else..... (also anytime I have ever gave backlash on this site was because I was attacked first)
I want to remain completly adult about this whole situation.

and I think it needs to be brought to attention
palebride told me to do a poll a much better way
so it doesnt receive drama from crazy nonamebrides who decide to chime in when its convienent for them.

so im gonna post a poll now but not a drama poll

also thanks very much to the ladies who do understand me to some point and want me to continue to post.

thanks
