Kings Park school system - any info?

Kings Park school system - any info?

Does anyone know about their elementary schools, particularly Park View? We are thinking of moving to KP and I think that would be our school.

I don't live in Kings Park but I do know its an excellent school district and a really nice area! It was one of the places we were looking - we ended up in East Northport.

There really aren't any bad districts in that area - Commack/Northport/Smithtown/Hauppauge.....all super nice and great schools.

What other towns are you looking at?

Right now just KP b/c we might buy a family member's house. They moved from East Northport about ten years ago, and their kids were older and so they don't know much about the elementary schools.

My FH is from East Northport, he lived on 5th Avenue. I really like it there! I like the bakery, Hummel Hummel

KP is a great school district to send your kids to, not such a great school district to work for though. They pay very very low. But good schools

That stinks that the pay is low - I wonder if there is a lot of turnover.

KP is a good school district. I have a friend who works in the middle school and she said there are no problems in the school, although she was once a city teacher!

I am a PROUD PARK VIEW graduate...class of......80 something. Seriously, I grew upo in Kings Park and many of my friends still live there and even teach there.

I also have a lot of friends with niecews and nephews in the system and there are no complaints. The KP schools were great when I went. If I didn't work in Brooklyn or was into a long commute, I would move back in a second!!!
