Has any one had them for their wedding? My florist told me that they're not that good, that they fall apart, and they don't last very long. I was hoping to get them for my flower girls.

Re: Kissing Balls...
I think the real flower ones are delicate (flowers get crushed on the bottom when it is set down, etc)-NYBride's flower girl had one and I remember her writing something along those lines in her review. If you make it yourself with fake florals it would probably be more durable.

they are also more $$$ if you get fresh flowers.
they are quite lovely to look at, though.

We're doing it for our fg's. The florist suggested the girls be a bit older though at least 6 b/c they can be heavy. I know nybride had kissing balls for her wedding, look at her review pics

They're heavy and the flowers get crushed easily. I was originally going to have it for my FG's, but then decided to give it to my Jr. BM who's 11.

My florist is making the FG's kissing ball out of silk flowers. The real flowers are very heavy and get bruised when they put them on the floor.

Thanks Meaghan729! I actually fininshed mine over the weekend. I used silk flowers, it's very durable and not too heavy at all. I used alot of glue. Here is a pic of it.
Caligirl....that looks amazing! I was thinking of doing the same thing for the fg's and now you've inspired me to be crafty and make my own! BEAUTIFUL WORK!

Actually, they are very easy to make. I put instructions on the DIY board...
My flower girl will caary these but my Florist did tell me they get damaged easily especially if set down the flowers will crush and they are kind of heavy

Yes, it was beautiful, but the second we put it down it started getting crushed. My florist warned me but I didnt listen. However it did hold up for the pics and ceremony and thats all you really need it for. So I guess its up to you.
When I made my own it was like $40 and I think fresh was $70?
