I hate the sound of guests clanking on their plates/glasses. Does anyone have any other ideas for the guests to get us to kiss?

I've seen people put little bells on the tables.

I thought this thread was going to be about something totally different...
How about those New Year's Eve noisemakers. That would bring some humor into it!!

That's such a cute idea. However as the night progresses we have no control over our guests and what they will do.

I heard of one we may use: you get people to serenade you with a song about love if they want you to kiss. I think this serves several purposes:
1) no annoying clanking 2) it gets people to sing to you, which means it'll probably happen a little less than the clanking (i love kissing my fw and won't need encouragement, but folks can go a little overboard. 3) i think it'll make for great photo/video moments.

Re: Kissing games???
at my friends wedding, they would only kiss when tables sang songs with the word 'love' in it.
i.e. barney's I love you, you love me, etc., Love me tender, etc.

Re: Kissing games???
i LOVE the ideas of having the guests sing songs....our friends are all karaoke freaks...that's all we do for birthday celebrations...that would be perfect! The more conservative adults probably wouldn't participate, but that's okay.
i LOVE the NEw Year's Eve noisemakers too since the wedding will only be a few days after New Years....it'll be like extending the celebration.
Thanks girls!!!

That is just what we are going to do. We are doing a Vera Wang Love Knots theme (like we already have the toasting flutes) and she sells a bell just like the flutes that we are going to put on the tables. I think it is a great idea!!! We wanted to think of something different!!

How would you relay to the guests 'the love song' idea?

How would you relay to the guests 'the love song' idea?
1) Tell folks beforehand 2) Put it on our website 3) Put it in the program 4) Refuse to kiss when people clink their glasses 5) Put it on our tables 6) Have my best man or our mc announce it
I think it'll be fun.

at my friend's wedding the Dj announced that the couple would only respond to songs, you could always post it somewhere on each table.
