Do you girls have the 5qt or 6qt, any rants or raves about either model.
I definitely like the bigger bowl size, but I'm unsure about the way it lifts... any thoughts? Thanks!

Re: Kitchen Aid Mixer
i like the idea of a bigger bowl after working with the 5 qt. I'd also get an extra bowl or two.

From what I know, you cannot put a bigger bowl on the 5qt mixer. I, personally, like the 5 qt. The six is too big for the countertops and is cumbersome to use. JMHO.

I agree...5 is big enough. The important thing, from what I understand is the size of the motor...mine is supposedly really good...5 qt 400 watt. some are less watts.

Re: Kitchen Aid Mixer
another thought. is the 6 qt the one that the whole mixer moves straight up instead of tilting back? I looked at that and didn't like it seemed too big and bulky. also make sure you get puring shield, my mom had to buy one cause hers didn't come with one and flour and other dry stuff goes flying if you add it in while mixing
