just curious if you guys have a theme to your kitchen we are going to decorate our kitchen a little, i mean i would love to get new floor cabinets and countertops but thats out of the question, so i thought if i painted it, got new curtain a a few decorations , it would make it look better
buti dont know what kind of theme i want!

I love the country apples and cherrys theme. I told my FH i wanted that...he laughed.LOL. Little does he know I already bought these cute curtains and misc. items... like the napkin and paper-towel holders LOL. Even though we don't have our own yet... we will by March ... best of luck... just have fun with it. Try a curtian warehouse to get more ideas...

i'm more about being subtle...
maybe some Mediterranean elements would be nice....
if you're trying to do a mini-makeover... i'm sure a fresh coat of paint and maybe some new flooring if possible would make a world of difference... you could even reface the cabinets or change the countertops yourself (ikea sells butchers block countertops which are nice)...

I want a red theme. FH and I went to set up our registry fro the first time. I was picking out red pots and pans and a red blender, etc and he was like eww hell no take that off. Little does he know that I am putting it back on the registry.

my kitchen is yellow and my theme is palm trees. i have jars, a clock, kitchen towels with my theme so it would be easy to change if it get sick of it but i LOVE it!!

We have apples also. We painted one wall red and the others are white (sounds weird but looks nice). Then we have lace curtains with apples, and a few other apple accessories, nothing too crazy.
My parents just did over their kitchen tuscan-style. They got sand-colored textured wallpaper and have deep orange-red accessories.
Both look great.

We don't have a theme. When we bought our house, it had the original everything from 40 years ago. We sanded and painted all the cabinets white, then painted the walls from beige to a sage green. We also put down a new laminate countertop. The old one was original, warped and had gold flecks in it. We also bought a new stove.
We can't afford to redo everything now, so this will do just fine for now. Looks like a whole new kitchen.
