Anyone know of someone with kittens looking for a home, or know of someone with a pregnant cat? My FH LOVES cats and we have decided to adopt one, however, we want kittens from a house cat, not from a shelter (unless someone I know worked there).

there is a place called Kat Adoptions in Wantagh right near the train station. All they do is Cat and Kitten adoptions. Maybe try there, they neeeeed homes
also, PetSmart in Levittown has some of the cutest Cats and Kittens you will ever see, and most have all of their shots/spayed or neutered etc.

I'm totally down for giving them homes, but FH had a few bad experiences with adopting from shelters, the cats/kittens were very mean and unfriendly. I am sure that is not the case all the time, but you know once you have a bad experience, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Valley Stream Cat Rescue is amazing.
i have gotten all of my cats from them, and FMIL has another 2 from them at her house.
You can look at some of their kitties in person at Petco in New Hyde Park and the one in Garden City by Toys R Us
they have others as well.
seriously... my cats are the bestest, and i purposely adopted 'hard to place' cats. the ones that are normally for adoption are super sweet. and fixed and have their shots. there is a small adoption fee but it's less than what it would be to take the cat to the vet.

AWWW HOW CUTE! WE HAVE 2 SIAMESE. ITS HARD TO FIND A MAN WHO LIKES CATS...LOL. BUT MINE DOES TOO NOW. THERE WAS A POSTING AT MY JOB. A LADY'S CAT HAD BABIES BUT ITS BEEN UP AWHILE. ILL CHECK IF SHE HAS ANY LEFT.

Aww- I love kittys. My sister just got one and now I want one too. FH doesnt like them- hes a dog person, but I think I may get one anyway--lol

Actually a friend of FH...his cat just had kittens and he was looking to get rid of them...this was a few weeks ago tho so I am not sure if he still has any but I can ask if you want

OMG I WISH FH wanted more cats. Youre so lucky We have one and he loves them but he thinks it will be too expensive and he worries that Dora will get jealous if we bring another cat in the house. Good luck finding one

my cat is knocked up.... Yep, She was found in an awkward position with an orange tabby.
Yep, She got out through the kitchen window... 3 times. I know that 4 of my friends want her offspring so depending on how many she has...
She is an Amazing cat. She is so talkative and so So loving.
I totally understand! I got my beloved Mima from a shelter and she cost me $3000 the first month I had her b/c it turned out she had a bad case of feline asthma!!! I just got 2 kittens from a friend at work, who always seems to know where newborn kittens are! I'll see if any of her cats are expecting. The two I got from her are loving little things! Check the photo in my album of them in the sink!

theres a vet office in cedarhurst that seems to alwas have kittens (its where i got my last one- and eerytime i go there they have kittens) the vet is really nice and good and he gives us half price on everything for my kitty since we got her there (and she was free!) FM me if your interested in the info and when i get home later ill look for their card with number and everything
