Kitty is getting neutered...

hes at the vet right now and ive been sitting here a little sad... i dont want my baby to be in pain... i actually opted for extended painkillers.... he should be high as a kite for the next 5 days LOL

UPDATE: he is a-okay and is acting pretty normal... he just ate a ton of food... he must have been starving and has already tried to attack the other cat like he lovessss to do... LOL they did treat him for earmites though which we suspected he had but another vet said they tested him and he was negative BULLCRAPPPP .... they prob didnt test anything since we werent giving them any $$$

awww hope he feels better and i might add i would love to see what a high cat loosk like..right now in my head i see a joint in his mouth asking for a snack

When my baby got spade she was so high on pain meds that she couldnt walk straight. It was so funny but sad because you could tell she was scared!

aww I feel your pain...I brought my dog on Monday and felt like such a mean mama. Hes's good now and had painkillers for 4 days, today was his last pill- he was soooooo distant on Monday night and out of it, but the next day he was back to his old happy self! luckily

At least he gets extra meds!
Be glad it's a male cat! They go through a lot less! The females come back with a nice sized wound and stitches and usually have to stay over night. My youngest cat actually had a strange reaction to the meds when she came home.. nothing bad.. but she was TRIPPING! Like a nut job. She was chasing things that weren't there (and they aren't really supposed to run or jump or they can pop the stitches ope) and she was just acting all cracked out! It was different from any other cat I ever took to get fixed.
The boys though... they are the easiest! It's still sad though.
He will be better in no time though!

Aww I know exactly how you feel!!! My puppy got spayed yesterday! She is all high on pain meds too and she has one of those cone/collars on so she is allll out of wack! He will be ok. Just a word of advice from when my kitty got neutered... watch him when he is on the pain meds, sometimes it can make them super crazy (jumping around and stuff) and they dont feel anything from the meds. My vet told us to be careful because they could break something or strain something and not even know from the loss of feeling. Hope your baby gets better soon!

oh boy... wish i had this info before i signed off on his extra meds... we're gonna be gone all day and night tomorrow .. i hope he'll be okay... he bounces off the walls as it is... last night he was super crazy and really outta wack... like he knew something was up...

but anyways, i called the vet and they said hes doing great ... i pick him up in an hour or so...

You can also try to keep him in a room or two. If you won't be home for a good amount of time, it might be a good idea to just restrain him from roaming all over the house... they are more likely to jump around and act nutty and maybe get hurt. That's what my cat was like and we had to keep her between these 2 rooms when we weren't home... just to be safe. And really it's only for the 1st couple of days so it's not sooo bad. Then when you are home to watch him you can let him have free roam of the place. Then again you don't have stitches to deal with... so it shouldn't be so bad.

ITA... we kept ours in the bathroomif we had to run out so he was confined to one small area ( If u use this room though make sure the toilet seat is down because when we got home once he was all soaking wet... we can only assume he went to jump up and fell in! ) Maybe you can have someone check in on him once? He will be fine after a few days though dont worry.

OMG Date Twin! That happened? I hear that can happen... but I never knew any cat it actually happend to! WOW! Well at least his survival instint is good and he got out without drowning! I can't belive that happened to him! Poor kitty!

I'm so glad that any animal I've adopted came to me already spayed or neutered. . .I don't think i could emotionally handle the stress of neutering a cat!!

My kitteh is already a crackhead. . .thank God that she's already spayed! I hope your kitty feels better!!!!
