AAALLLL of my friends who are already married have said you HAVE to go to Kleinfelds, just for the 'experience.' So, I made an appointment for November (the first Sunday they had available!).
But, now I'm hearing horror stories about going there. People say it was a madhouse, they weren't catered to even though they had an appointment, and they all felt like they were literally being pushed through a machine.
I don't want this to be my experience. Has anyone else gone? Good/bad stories??

I personally didn't go there for myself but I went last year with my FSIL when she was looking for dresses for herself. I think the experience was great and she found her dress there! 2 ladies were in the room with her helping her in & out of dresses until she found the one...good luck when you go!! It's such an amazing feeling!!

I bought my dress there and had a WONDERFUL experience. I used Diane and she was wonderful to work with. Listened to me, got me and found me the most beautiful dress. Didn't feel rushed at all... was with her for almost 2 hours! It was an amazing experience!

I had a terrible experience! The consultant can really make or break the appointment. If you get Antoinette then request someone else ASAP. She is sooo mean and rude!

I went to a different salon over the weekend, just to get an idea of what i like/don't like, and you're absolutely right, the consultant can make or break the appt. The place I went was lovely, the people behind the counter, over the phone, but the consultant was rude and as soon as she found out I had no intention of buying a dress that day, she was done with me.
I am going to keep the appt at kleinfeld, and go in with an open mind. Thanks for the replies ladies!

Even though I didn't get my dress there, I had a GREAT experience. I suggest you recommend who you work with, because that can make or break your experience. I worked with Ann and highly recommend her!

I know of a few people who have gone there and only one of them wasn't thrilled. I personally wouldn't look for my dress there because as my wedding gets closer, the last thing I'm going to feel like doing is going into the city for my fittings when I have a million other things going on. Overall, it's really your preference. Everyone is going to have different opinions about every store so do what you want to do!
