I ordered my dress over a year ago and I thought it came in three months before the wedding but now I was seeing 6 weeks on the website. I'm not sure if I want them to do the alterations since they charge so much so I was hoping to get it sooner. When did you get yours if you ordered from them and did you have enough time to take it elsewhere for fittings?
I just picked out my dress at kleinfeld last weekend. They told me it takes 6-8 months to come in. Maybe it varies by designer? I wouldn't go by the website. There are inconsistencies all over it! Give them a call. My saleswoman encouraged me to NOT have my alterations done at kleinfeld, because my dress is very simple, and it would definitely not need the $700 that they automatically charge. I plan on bringing it somewhere on the island (TBD). When did you order?

I had my first fitting exactly a month later, then mid June for the second, my final fitting was last week and pickup this Thursday. I think they could have done it in 2 fitting but I kep changing my mind about shoes (oops). They really are pros with the alterations and I think they could definitely do it in 6 weeks (though I really think it's more likely it will be in earlier). I lost 30 lbs and it fit great by fitting #2!

I think they deliver it based on your wedding date. I was told to figure Jan for mine. I ordered in in March for my March wedding.

This. I got mine the end of May and they said it will be in July of next year. Probably so that they're not hanging on to it for so long. I'm going to have them do the alterations just because I feel like it's safer to have it all done where I purchased, that way if something is not right they are solely responsible.
