Kleinfeld seamstresses

I bought my gown at Kleinfeld but at their sample sale. I need alterations and the woman there who was helping me gave me a printout of some of their seamstresses and their contact info. I think this was on the DL......anyway, she said it wouldn't be worth it for me to bring the gown into the store and spend $$$$ on alterations there (being that would cost almost as much as i spent on the gown itself) but that some of the girls did work on the side.

My question is, did any of you girls do this? If so, any idea what they charge?

I've done searches so far so I know who you girls recommend, I'm just wondering how this situation would work......

P.S. Also if anyone has great seamstress recommendations in the Astoria or closeby Queens area that would be great!! I could also do western Nassau.....
