***KLEINFELDS****

So me and my crazy mother went their today and came out with no dress!

We got there few minutes before 3 and the line was out the door...we were #135...needless to say if you were not the first 20 you were @$$ out! Oh well...however the bridal attendant BLANCA was amazing! I explained that I like an eve of milady gown and was really looking to see if they had it for less....Blanca stated that eve of milady was on the high end of prices but to schedule an appt with her so she can show me other designers similar to hers but a lot less expensive !

Will give it a try and will let you know the outcome!

My experience at Kleinfelds today was disgusting. I only waited half an hour or so but as soon as I got in the dressing room, the woman looked me up and down and said, 'THESE DRESSES WONT FIT YOU' AND 'Didn't anyone tell you the sizes?' .....she then told me to make an appt on a regular day.

Now ladies, I am a size 8 dress size and a 10 in pants ( i have a very small waist but curvy hips)- think Beyonce body type. By no means am I fat or even plus sized. I think its horrendous that this industry looks at you like you are an oger if you aren't a size 4.

I left the store crying since all the samples were a six. The woman also told me that there was no way I could get a decent dress for under $3,000.

It's not right that girls over a size 6 should have to pay double.

I will NEVER shop at Kleinfleds again and neither will my friend who came with me.

Gosh, more than any other vendor hear the most mixed reviews about Kleinfelds. THe most common thing i have heard is that they are nice to you until you buy the dress and then they treat you like crap during the fittings. And you know what, from that show 'Say Yes to the Dress' they even portray themselves that way.

BTW-I didn't buy anything but i really had a great experience trying dresses on at the Bridal Salon of Manhassett.

The interesting thing is that the people at place I'm getting my dress from were somewhat nice when I looked (not AMAZINGLY NICE and not AWFUL) but have been 1000% nicer to us once we ordered my dress. I'd expect it to be more like Kleinfelds though -- once you order they dont need to be as nice

Isn't that about the price for most of the dresses at Kleinfelds? I haven't been there but thats what I heard.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience, but maybe they were using the sale as a way to get more 'regular customers?'

I went to Kleinfelds over thanksgiving, since my family spends the holidays in the city, with my mom and my aunts. I wasn't expecting to buy anything, I went just to get an idea of styles, designers, etc. We told the bridal attendant that we were just looking, and that there really wasn't any budget.

Long story short, I tried on a ton of dresses, the same ones multiple times, and ended up picking out a dress that was about $2500. We got so caught up in comparing, that my mom wasn't really keeping track of the prices on each. I ended up picking out a dress without using price as a factor. Totally no pressure and I am so happy. FYI, my veil cost almost as much as my dress!

So sorry to hear about the ignorance that you had to experience at Kleinfelds. And, the salesperson was out of line when she said that you can't find a decent dress under 3k
