Re: Kleinfelds
depends on what your budget is. most of the dresses start around 2000.

Honestly i dont want to pay more than 2500. is that realistic witht the alterations and bustle?

Re: Kleinfelds
Honestly it was the best experience of my life...everything I wanted it to be and more. I always dreamed of getting my dress from there so it was a big deal for me. I had a wonderful consultant named Renee and she asked me what my price range was and only pulled dresses that were in the range or if they were slightly over she told me before I tried them on. There are plenty of dresses to choose from that are around 2,500, I'm pretty sure they start at 2,000 but then you need to consider tax and alterations start at $595 (more if you are looking to add or change something major to the dress).
The only thing I thought was very expensive was the veils...my mom thought a cathedral veil would look best with my dress so she picked one out...umm yea it was $700!! and that was a cheap one...I told her she was crazy and we could find one somewhere else for less, but she wanted to buy it..'whatever mom..its your money' lol

i also didnt want to spend a lot but wanted to check out kleinfelds so i went. It was a great experience. The lady understood exactly what i was looking for pulled a few dresses and the best part is that three of them were UNDER $1800! def worth checking them out

I would totally go for the experience! You dont necessarily have to get your dress there but from what I hear the experience is so different going to a high end bridal salon!

I'm partial bc that's the only place I went to look and I got my pnina there! Definitely go for the experience even if you don't wind up getting your dress there!

I loved the experience at Kleinfelds - couldn't have asked for anything better - but I do agree about the veils. They catch you with those little things. It's so easy to just say yes to it all when you're fixed up but you can definitely save on a veil!

Re: Kleinfelds
the experience there was out of this world.I dreamed of getting my dress from there so i loved it,.. Yes its pricy, but i guess its worth it.. (am convincing myself of that) and those veils, definitely not good. Im going tomorrow to order mine, becuase when they were first told me 832$ i almost had a heart attack, so i didn't order it the day i got my dress... But i thought it over and over and over, am an just going to get it there.. It matched my dress perfectly... I guess i will give up on wearing Jimmy Choos or Manolos the day of... Oh well!

Re: Kleinfelds
Don't be embarrassed, different people splurge on different things. The first veil Kleinfelds put on me I loved, but it was over 1000. I was already splurging on the dress. I still splurged on the veil but paid 500 at Bridal Reflections.

Re: Kleinfelds
i made an appointment for kleinfeld in october. i hear the experience is amazing, which is why i'm going there even if i don't get my dress there.
if you're concerned about it being too expensive, i suggest going there and trying on dresses. if you find 'the one,' i would go back when they have a trunk show or bridal sale. i think the next bridal sale is in september.

Don't worry, I'm paying $1,100. I think it's ridiculous but hey it fitted my dress perfectly too! For about 1/2 an hour that's incredibly pricey, but that's what wedding days are for right? Splurging? Keep trying to convince myself...

hahahaha i feel better knowing i wasnt the only one-- i mean literally the veil just match so perfectly and the lace on it starts where the lace on my dress ends etc etc.... we can make excuses together LOL

Re: Kleinfelds
its very hard to find a dress under $2k, but sometimes you can get lucky and no one judges you for what your budget is. everyone there is SUPER nice!

Re: Kleinfelds
everything adds up! first you drop 5grand on a dress, another 800 for veil, another 800 for headpiece, alterations, sales tax too...etc etc
oh well!
just tell them your budget and thats what they will bring you. tell them 2500 WITH alterations, sales tax, veil and head piece
they have dresses starting at 1800 I think????
