I'm trying to help a friend of mine. I saw a post recently about the Kleinfeld Sample Sale. Does anyone know the price range or percentage off the regular price? Or is it worth going?

Re: Kleinfeld's Sample Sale
I just went to one of the recent Kleinfeld's Sample Sale. I did not find a dress that day, but it was also the second place that I had gone to look at dresses, but it is worth checking it out. Be warned: it can get crowded and there are lots of brides there trying on dresses all at once and sales ladies and friends and family everywhere. I think that if you have a very good idea of what you are looking for, be it a specific designer or design, then you will find the trip to the sample sale very worthwhile.
The sample sale dresses tend to range from 50% to 70% off (the price range I saw was on average $850 to $1,999 for sale price) and every dress I tried on that day was either an 8 or 10. The dresses are all lined up outside of the dressing rooms and the sales woman who is assigned to you takes you down the row as you look at dresses and select them to try on. The dresses are for the most part in good shape, but you will probably need to meet with a seamstress and possibly have the dress dry cleaned.
As I said before, I did not find a dress at the sale. I tried on eight dresses--which was good for me because I have a better idea of what I want and how I want to look. With each dresses they gave me a veil and a bouquet of silk flowers so it was really good visually. They also have shoes. I found one dress that I really liked, but something was off (I think it was when one of the saleslady told me I looked 'really sweet' that I realized that I did not want to look sweet on my wedding day). Another warning: the sales ladies can be very pushy. It's there job to sell those dresses and they really wanted to sell all of those dresses that day.
I would go to another sample sale at Kleinfeld's for another look. So far I haven't found the dress--I am going to three places on Saturday so we'll see.
