Re: Kleinfelds

I feel bad hope noone took my opinion as me being a b*****. Here is my take if you are getting married in 4 months keep the dress that you like bc otherwise it is going to be alot to go back and forth to the city depending in where you live. If you have the budget for it def go!

Re: Kleinfelds

I honestly couldn't care less about the 'Kleinfeld's experience'. My budget was very low (by Kleinfeld's standards not mine!) and after watching the show, I didn't feel the need to be belittled or to fall in love with a dress well out of my price range! But good luck!!

Re: Kleinfelds

Jillian that was my reasoning behind not going. I stayed away from the expensive bridal salons only because I didn't want to feel like a poor person walking in saying what my budget is and them laughing at me. So I'm very happy with my Maggie Sottero that I got for a great price at Village bridal!!!

It is funny b/c I was so excited to go to Kleinfelds for the experience..., and man was it a bad one!

THey lady only let me try on 3 dresses - didn't listen to what I was looking for at all! She was trying to pressure me into finding the 'one ' that day and buying then and there... I said I can't buy one today since my mom lives in NC and can't buy one with out her here.... her reply ' we can set you in front of a web cam!

I left so dissapointed... almost felt jipped from my experience.

I hope that you have a better time than I did!

everyone tells me 'go for the experience, it's so nice and you can try on dresses that you never even dreamed about' but if it's anything like the show, I would never go. I don't like how they expect and pressure some girls into buying a dress right then and there (even someone who this is her first time shopping). Kinda gets on my nerves. That's not to say I'm going to stop watching the show though because I like looking at all the pretty dresses LOL

ITA!!! i didn't even want to step foot in there.

If you found your dress, don't stress the 'experience' if your mind has been made.

Re: Kleinfelds

I'm really NOT a fan of kleinfeld's. I bought my dress for my 1st wedding there. Btw do they have anything under $2500? geez.....

That's what i found when I looked online recently by price.

All the girls that I know that are already married tell me to go just for the experience!

Re: Kleinfelds

I think that you keep your dress and not go to Klienfelds.

I used to work on commision at Circuit City. So you would be taking an appointment that the girl could make money on.

But, if you really think you want to look at another dress, then go.

So far I have LOVED my experience with Kleinfelds. So I am not one to say miss the experience :)

Luckily.. it's NOTHING like the show!!
i went there multiple times because I bought my dress there (Keisha was my consultant) and NEVER once was it like that! Even when I saw the camera's rolling. It's not catty like that at all. None of what goes on in the show is what you see or hear about or feel when you are there.

some brides say they didn't like the treatment they received there and some say it was because their budget wasn't high. this was NOT AT ALL the case for me. Actually my budget was LOW for their standards... I said no more than $3000 and they not only stuck to it... but they were also very nice about it. I never once felt insulted for not spending upwards of 5g on a dress. I love Kleinfeld's!!! GO FOR IT!!!

You know I had a similar experience. I went during the big sample sale. I was so excited for a week, I had my FH sit out and get a ticket for me. I lined up for hours to get inside. Once inside, I personally, was really disappointed. They only carried a few dresses in 'my size' which I found disappointing because I dont think I'm a big size but going there, they definitely made me feel that way. When it was finally my turn to try my dresses on with my consultant, she was a bit rude. She looked at me, looked at my dresses, basically told me that they wouldnt fit my 'hips' and brought out this hideous dress and said 'how about this'. I felt like crying on the spot. And before I could even finish taking the dress off, they were ushering in another bride.

I mean def go for the 'experience' because thats why i went. I know friends who had a fabuolus time there, a couple who bought their gowns there. But if you feel like you found the dress of yoru dreams, dont feel pressured to go and dont feel pressured to buy another dress (the sales people are good at that!). :)

Re: Kleinfelds- UPDATE!

*update*

I went to Kleinfelds today...im such a nut, i canceled my appt last night...then woke up at 9 am and called them and asked if i could have it back lol...i was thinking about it allll night that i was going to regret not going...

they gave me my appt back! so i hopped on the train and went

when i got there they were filiming Say Yes to The Dress

I saw Randy a million times- he is supppper skinny in real life

I had Lisa(never saw her on the show) she was ok...they werent as nice as I expected but oh well

I tried on a few dresses...including MY dress...

and I still love my dress!!! it's def the ONE!!!!!!

I think they sensed that I was going to buy, so they were kinda shooing me out...I honestly would have bought something if I felt something for another dress I loved...the lady helping me just wasn't bringing out anything i was asking for

p.s. let me tell you those Pnina Tornai gowns are freakinggggg amazinggggggggggggg! If I had 10K to throw away I would totally buy one...i understand now why girls on the show love them

Same thing here. I wentin with a 2000 budget with very small flexablity. Sarah was my consultant I absolutly loved her. The 1st dress she had me try on ended up being the dress.
