Just wondering if that was true......

yeah its if you cancel......the credit card secures your appt.....it is kinda weird but i guess alot of ppl dont show up and then the salesperson is screwed out of a client.....thats another way of looking at it!

I don't think it'st just Kleinfeld that does this sort of appointment policy. I am not a fan of these policies either, but it makes sense --- so, as long as you don't cancel last minute or do a no-show, it shouldn't be a problem.....BUT I know it is a turn off isn't it?

It didn't really bother me, since I fully intended to show up and I really have problems with no show/no cancellations but you know everyone is different.

It's true, but if you cancel within 24 hours they give you your money back.

yea you do leave a credit card and if you cancel the appointment in less than 24 hours they charge the card $50 but if you go to your appointment there is no charge to the card.

I got my dress there and they were GREAT!!! I think that taking the Credit Card is also a way to weed out lookie loos who just want to see what the store looks like.

AMEN!! when my sis got married, they were still in Brooklyn and the sales lady showed her EVERYTHING that she did not want. My sis asked for somthing with sleeves (she was getting married at the end of Ocotber) they showed her gowns that had no sleeves. They were rude and arrogant and then we just had it and just left. When it was my turn to look for dresses I did not even contact them. This to me continues to be a reason why I do not like them. I hope that the other brijdes who have used them have had better experiences than us.

I don't like that policy either. But it is a good way to force people to show up to appointments. I'm one of those people who commits to too many things then decide last minute to cut some of those commitments out. So I guess its a good way to get people like me to keep their appointmetns! But I still don't like the policy.
