Is it bad to go there with a budget of less than $1000 ? I'll feel like an idiot if I go there and say I only want to spend 800 and they look at me like are you serious !??

Re: Klienfeld's Budget Question
I believe their lowest costing dresses are $1500. But i know sometimes they'll drop the cost if it is a sample or if it will be featured in their sample sale. But it doesn't hurt to try on dresses to get an idea of what you want.

Re: Klienfeld's Budget Question
I've seen on their website that their dresses start at $1800. I went there and the dress I got was $1000. I didn't see anything less than that :-\

Re: Klienfeld's Budget Question
When I called to make an appointment with them they told me their dresses start at $1,800.00. But then I did see a dress on Say yes to the Dress that a girl bought for $1,500.00.
ETA: Their alterations are really expensive as well! I think it was like $600+

Re: Klienfeld's Budget Question
I don't want to burst your bubble, but I don't know that they could show you a dress that is $800. But I'm sure you could get a sample during a sample sale, or even find a dress for around $1500 or $1800 and maybe ask to buy the sample.
LIke other girls have said, the alteration charges are about $600...not including taxes and such.
Either way, you should go and have a good experience - you never know, you might find something you like and splurge a little....it is your day after all.

the alterations are a flat rate of 575 ... but for that price they will basically make your dress over if you want... they change/add beads, they will make you a new dress basically, so if you dont need that much done, i wouldnt go there.
I have seen dresses for 1500 there but I got mine for less because it was a sample ... i wouldnt go if you are in less that 1000 range
