Klonopin vs. Xanax

My FH and I are both nervous fliers. He got a prescription for Xanax for our trip, and I got one for Klonopin.

What's the diff? Is one stronger than the other?

I got clonopin (sp?) for my last trip to Italy and it worked well!! Very well....
I have not used xanax, but assume they are just different variations of the same thing.
Xanax might even be a bit stronger....
It will also depend on the dosage given.....
they will both work though!

a friend of mine is on Xanax and likes it. It makes him fell calm and relaxed. I dont know if their is a difference

We're only going to take them for our plane ride to France and back! It's not a regular prescription, we both have only 4 pills.

I believe that Xanax is more frequently prescribed for situational anxiety (i.e. plane trips). Klonopin is prescribed, more commonly, for people with more persistant anxiety. Both drugs are of the same class and like MrsFutureT said, both addictive. One is not necessarily stronger than the other - That would depend on the strength they doctor prescribed. A common side effect is usually a headache so don't be surprised if you get one.

This is so weird, as soon as I clicked on your post a pop up ad for online prescriptions for xanax came up! NOT the way to go by the way!
I have friends who use it for flying and they all say it works great...I have never heard of klonopin though...
