Has anyone on a budget rented one of thier halls and then had an outside caterer come to cater it?
If so how was your experience?
I am thinking this might be a great alternative?
thanks for the help in advance.

Re: Knights of Columbus
I know a lot of the Knights halls handle the catering themselves. The only one's I have been to for wedding were Bellmore and Seaford. Both weddings were great, the food and service just as good as regular halls. It's worth checking out

Re: Knights of Columbus
actually, the knights of columbus in oceanside has an in-house caterer and he does a great job!
i think his name is doug? the food isn't like 'chateau briand' but it's certainly not bad. and they do weddings all the time. They also do other parties there. It can hold up to about 250. you can use their lounge after the wedding too (I think, double check). I don't have their number on me but I can find it out for you, if you'd like Mary

Re: Knights of Columbus
At one point I considered having my wedding at the Knight of Columbus in Oceanside. They do a really nice job and I think the food is great. I would check it out.

I've been to a FEW weddings at the Oceanside Knights of Columbus and they were all very nice. I think the number is 678-1492 (got this from a friend) Good Luck!!!

Re: Knights of Columbus
I had looked into the KoC in Seaford and they were around $50-55 pp to do a wedding. Not too bad but you can get that price at many catering halls if you book during the off-season, especially January - March.
FM me if you want to know what I am paying for my upcoming 'off-season' wedding in January.
