Knights Of Columbus-VFW?

Hello All,
Trying to find a place for an engagement party-and searched in the post's. I saw that a lot of people recommended Knights of Columbus in Oceanside and in New Hyde Park-
Does anyone know how much it is for a simple buffet or sit down dinner w/just beer/wine??
This would be greatly appreciated!!
I'm tryin to spend around 30-40 per person!

Thanks

I believe there's a flat rate to the hall, and you have to bring your own food.

I went to a catered 60 year old b'day party at the Knights of Columbus in October. The place was beautiful, but the food was not the greatest.

I think that's the range for the quote we got for KOC in New Hyde Park but it was a Friday night (all they had in April) and they got the food from an italian place nearby. The room was nice....try them!

I called The Knights of Columbus in Oceanside when I first started looking at places for our engagement party. I was quoted 30 per person plus 10 for beer and wine and soda. I just wanted to rent the space and bring in my own caterer and they said no, you have to use their in house chef. I asked this because, I went ot a wedding there about 2 years ago, and the food was not that good, and I have heard the same story from others who have gone there. Good luck, you'll figure it out.

How many people are you expecting?

A four hour party at the KofC in Oceanside with buffet and open bar is around $30 per person. If you want to bring in your own food you can do that at any regular KofC or VFW hall, but the New Hyde Park adn Oceanside locations are full catering halls.

John is the BM. Are you calling the 1492 number. there is a separate number for his office that ends in those 4 numbers. Also, he has office hours on Saturday when people come in to see the place and sign the contracts and stuff so you could just go in person.

I didn't know they had a showcase, I would've gone to see how it was set up and layed out with people, etc. How did you find out about the showcase? Is there another one anytime soon?

I don't know how much it is, but I have heard very good things about the Kof C in Oceanside. It looks so pretty from the outside!
