having your dad call you excitedly bc his boat is finally back in the water and babble on and on about going out on it and making plans about what to bbq on it.
seriously, he sounds like he's 8 years old! lol

November is a very sad time when the boat comes out.. theres a mini depression until turkey day LOL

my dad can't get a break w this boat.
2 years ago my mom got hit by a car while walking...boat season over.
last year dad gets a blood clot in his lung, hospital for 3 weeks. boat season basically over. we did go out in nov but it was after much fighting w him.
this year....engine blows, almost 7 weeks out of the water w the rebuild - 7k. gets it back..no lie.. same engine blows. boat come back out and thank god only 2 weeks gone.
BUT in the meantime, dad falls and break his hand and dislocated his fingers and cant drive the damn thing anyway.
so...FH and I are going there to learn how to drive a 30ft cabin cruiser..docking etc. I am so screwed. lol. i cant remember the lines from the class I took a million years ago...or the buoys...or the million other things I need to know in a boat that damn big.
