I must say I am gonna be mad if they stop making film...I have a fdigital, whcih is great to upload pictures FAST...but no matter how great the paper is to print it on, its still not as good as the good old fashioned 35MM camera...

I'm with you Holly...I wanted a digital camera so bad...I got one as a shower present and I'm so upset. The quality of the prints are TERRIBLE!!!

I've told DH that I want a good old fashioned camera now.

The quality of a digital on the computer is great...but the quality of the prints is really poor.

Kodak should NOT stop making 35 MM!!!!!

Holly thats exactly how I feel, I have a digi and although the printing quality is becoming much better, I LOVE my film camera SOOOOO much! My DH just bought me an amazing zoom lense for Christmas, every hokiday I get more to add to my camera, next I want a flash (that you can add on top for extra light).

I doubt they would stop selling film.

I actually get great prints from my digital camera though. I have a photo printer for when I need the print right away (which is great!) or I use shutterfly if I want something processed professionally.

I don't know...maybe I'm doing something wrong...but I've ordered prints from Shutterfly, Ofoto and DotPhoto...and they were all just ok.

Regular film is just so much better IMO...

I've got a Sony Cyber-Shot...maybe it's my camera???

I don't know. Here's a few things to check though:
How many megapixels?
Do you tend to crop the pics a lot on shutterfly? I used to be an over zealous cropper on shutterfly and that affects the quality of the print.
Do you save the picture files at lower resolutions? My aunt has this habit of saving the file at lower resolutions to preserve hard drive space which virtually destroys the possibility of getting good prints.

I will definitely have to check this out because I don't really know the answers... !!!!

I sort of got the camera working and never really read through the manual...and same thing when I figured out how to upload them on Shutterfly.

I know that's bad...but I'm an idiot when it comes to things like this!!!

I have a tendency to do the same thing! we had our camera for about a year and a half before I read the book

I love the good old fashion camera,,,,but I love being able to see the picture right away with the digital. Too bad I can't figure out how to load the software to my computer to read my smart card.

I find that I get the best prints off my digital camera when i bring it into CVS and the process it on the film machine. I have not been that satisfied w. Shutterfly, I dont think the prints come out that well. Consumer reports said Ofoto is the best one, as that is owned by Kodak.

That said, I still think film is better. For some reason, the colors on my pics always seem a little off w. my digital- like people look a little more yellow than they should

We use a Canon Elf.. I don't know if its a 35mm. We buy Adantix ADP film.. No pulling out the film to set it up.

We love it cause we take it in and get a CD done for our photos. If we want prints we order those too. If we want reprints or if we didn't print them and later decide we want to, we just take back the film and get it done. Normally we order one set and one CD. I have a TON of photos I should sit down and organize.

I want a digital camera but we had one once and it was so tempermental we've been sort of turned off ever since.
