Does anybody have any experience booking a place and bringing in a kosher caterer that's not really part of the venue? Chateau Briand said we would have to book the caterer first, but I don't know how much they would charge. I feel limited already, I don't want to further limit myself! Why is this so hard?

Re: kosher
I am getting married at a Temple that is Glatt Kosher.
It will probably be better for you to a book a place that is Kosher, rather than bringing in someone.
We are $175 a head with a min 175. By the time you book a place THEN pay for a Kosher caterere it will cost you more probably.
Look for a place that is kosher IMHO.

Re: kosher
Hi-
I am also having my wedding at a temple to avoid having to bring in a caterer but there are many out there. Google kosher caterers long island and read reviews. If you have any questions about temples FM me. There are a lot of kosher caterers that go to venues so just keep asking around .

Re: kosher
I agree with the girls here...I would go with a kosher caterer rather than bring one in because it will be easier for you. I went to a kosher wedding in March at Crest Hollow and the food was very good.
