Kim Kardashian will file for divorce this morning, after 72 days of not-so-wedded bliss to Kris Humphries ... TMZ has learned.

We're told even though the marriage was short, she will not seek an annulment. It's a garden variety divorce, in which Kim cites 'irreconcilable differences.'

We're told the date of separation is listed as today, Oct. 31, 2011.

Kim has hired disso-queen Laura Wasser, who has repped the likes of Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, and Robyn Gibson, Mel's almost ex-wife.

As we first reported, the couple has a prenuptial agreement ... Kim made sure of that.

Rumors of a split had been swirling for some time and the two were spotted out to dinner earlier this week ... looking less than pleased with one another.

I think Kris is in touch with reality, Kim definitely is not. I guess I feel bad for Kris too.

Kim & ___________ sitting in tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g, first comes LOVE, then comes marriage... I don't know she didn't LOVE him enough to try and make it work.

Now I'm REALLY looking forward to the new season of Keeping up!

When you're fighting at your RD, that's a pretty good sign it's not gonna last!

The couple was married on August 20 in a lavish ceremony (see below) in Montecito, CA. There are reports that the wedding cost as much as $10 mil, which means $138,888 for every day until today.

Yup!! She wanted a wedding not a marriage...so how long would it last with that in mind? Apparently 70 something days only.

if anyones interested my nerdy hubby did the math based on the reports of Kim making 17 million for the wedding special and all that it included this chick made $9,837.00 per hour of her 72 day marriage. just let that info roll around your brain for a second. unbelievable!!!

My sisters and I have a theory behind the whole wedding, her mother is a PR genius. The whole thing was a publicity stunt, the ratings sky rocketed the minute she got engaged and they will get even higher now that the divorce has been announced. Her 10 million dollar wedding tab was paid in full by all the product endorsements and vendor names she throw out there during the wedding planning. There was never any on screen magic between her and Kris during the whole wedding process. IMO it was a scam and a fraud.
