KUDOS to you working Brides...
This may sound strange as most of us all have 'real' jobs.. but I only have said 'real' job during the holidays and between working full time and now being in a total rush to figure out and book our venue/date/dress by the end of this year I am so unbelievably burnt out and exhausted. I had to talk myself down from a panic attack at work yesterday and today I had to just leave early. I also have an amazingly happy, awesome fun, job but it is a bit strenuous.I just wanted to say kudos to those of you with full time jobs!!! It is a LOT of work- if not a full time job in itself- planning a wedding. The stress has just gotten to me now and I needed a break. I think once we book the date/venue and do the dress.. by the end of next month, I should be calmer. But yeah.. if no one else tells you you are awesome- you are!

Haha yeah when we were in the stage of booking major vendors, the stress that came with all that was overwhelming. You'll feel more relaxed once that's over!

don't worry - there's definitely a lull after booking the major vendors! I booked the venue, photographer, videographer, and DJ all within the first few months of getting engaged. After that, things were slow. Now I'm starting to get calls from vendors for details and arrangements and the stress and excitment is starting to pick up again! It comes in waves.

LOL Good to know.. I spent my whole weekend researching again alll night til 3am and got no sleep and went back into work and had to talk myself down from a panic attack while dealing with customers. That was bad! Thank god the rest of the year is independant contractor type of work and less dealing with the public. I need time for myself! Good to know its in waves :) I mean this is all super happy, awesome stuff.. I was not prepared for the over-whelming stuff.

There's a huge lull after booking major vendors. I'm 9 days away from my wedding and my panic mode set in again about a month ago with the tables and last minute stuff. This week has been crazy and I'm dealing with Christmas and work too! Don't stress to much yet, just get your big stuff done and than take a break. Happy planning!

Hang in there! That's definitely tough planning a wedding so close to Xmas. I noticed that even with my wedding about 5 weeks away I'm in HEAVY panic mode. Kudos to you girl.

I don't know how anyone does it. I never realized how pressed for time I would be. I kept telling myself that I have so much time to get stuff done and now I'm 3 months out and have SO MUCH to do. I thought that teaching and having the school day be over at 2:30 would leave me with so much free time but today is the first day in MONTHS that I have been home before 7. I signed up to work the after school program and then I have a bunch of students I tutor everyday - including the weekends. I'm really looking forward to the February break - I'm not making ANY plans and I'm going to get all of my DIY stuff done, hopefully!

Ha ha, I'm with you there! This is totally overwhelming! I definitely feel a lot calmer now that we've set a date and booked the venue. If worst comes to worst, now we can wear our jeans to the Swan Club and dance to the music in our heads with no photographic evidence... ha ha! ;)
