So we decided to take a part 2 to our HM to Disney. We figured we wanted to go before we try for a baby next year that way we can enjoy alone since FH has never been.
We are using our timeshare to stay so my question is what is the best/cheapest way to go about tickets. We plan on going from a friday to thursday in april (which is school vacation)
The parks I would like us to def get to are: Magic Kingdom Epcot (Magic & Epcot I don't mind if we do in a day) Universal Isalands of adventure Wild Kingdom (would like to get there but not 100% necessary)
So any suggestions on where to look would be great.

I felt like from going in the past Magic Kingdom was a must because you can't go to Disney and not go..but the rides were more for kids. Then again I haven't been in like 10 years.
And epcot I found boring when I was younger...but now that I am older i want to drink around the world. lol. That's about it though!

Ok I went last yr and I saved a boat load of money
I visited
Magic Kingdom: This issssssss a must and stay till the end for the fireworks at Cinderella Castle.
Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure- I think I paid $110 for both parks. (Theres sooo much to do here seriously fun)
Epcot I went there when I was a little girl what I did remember I wasn't seriously fond of. Kinda boring JMO tho..

Yea I just spoke to my Grandmother who lives there and her friend can get us the 1 day park hopper passes for $50!!! But she has to bring us to the park herself. So we can use that for 2 days to do Magic kindom....epcot...and animal kingdom. I don't really have an interest to go back to MGM.
And the 2 day park hopper pass you mentioned for $115. I think he will love those the most.

Re: KWR: Disney trip
Get a park hopper! So my last trip was all about drinking and roller coasters!
IF you like to drink, definitely do Epcot!! Drinking around the world= AMAZING!
ETA: Epcot is pretty much the adult park. i remember being a kid and HATING it there but now when I go (every other year) I HAVE to go to Epcot. They have Soarin and the Test Drive coaster. If you want to do Soarin I recommend getting a fast pass for it.
Magic Kingdom is a dry park... but they have awesome coasters
Animal Kingdom, mostly for little kids although, Expedition Everest has to be my favorite roller coaster. Honestly, you can do Animal kingdom in the morning (opens early) then head to Epcot.
I haven't done universal in a few years so I don't have much to say about them.

Re: KWR: Disney trip
I went last year
Magic Kingdom: Brings all your childhood memories back. Besides it being for kids its also a really romantic place. I totally went on everything in one day.
Epcot: Used to be boring, but now they really got some cool stuff there. Even the different countries have some rides and you can do cool little missions there.
Animal Kingdom: Great if you love animals. There is some cool stuff to do there and I love the safari tour.
Then there is what used to be called MGM I forgot what they renamed it. That park you could do early in the morning to get on some fun rides and then head to another park.
Universal: I almost did both parks in one day. I did buy a 2 park 2 day pass because I missed some rides the first day.

Re: KWR: Disney trip
i found this website years ago and have been using them ever since.
hotelscorp.com click on Orlando and then click on Tickets.
They sell the same tickets, either regular or park hoopper and water park ones + universal tickets as well.
Its a legit website and you can either have them fedex you the tickets or you can pick them up once your there, but i would just have them fedex them to you, although i picked them up one year but they were a bit out of the way for us.
Normally, when i go to Disney, we do not do the hopper passes because you would have to jump around from park to park every day. plus those tickets are double the price because they allow you to do that. i usually like to see one whole park one day and then move on the the next the next day. i feel you get to see more that day.
MGM Studios has been renamed Hollywood Studios and unless your big on roller coasters - there isn't much to see there anymore. They still have those stunt shows but they are the same ones they have been playing since 1994 - honestly. i went 2 years ago and i saw the same show i saw when i was 11 years ago.
Also, keep in mind that September & October are the slowest months of the year for Disney. so if your going to go, go then if you can! we always go in Disney (After years of going in July & august) and there are no lines. Lines that would normally take 4 hours to get through we waited online for 15 minutes. no joke. you get to experience so much more of the parks this way and you really get to enjoy it. And its still ridiculously warm in September! in those 2 months, they are all decked out for fll and it really does look very pretty!
I would highly suggest the water parks as well. they are family oriented but lots of fun and something that shouldn't be missed.
When we stayed, we stayed at a Disney hotel and it was a blast becaue we didn't have to worry about renting a car and since Disney has free shuttles, it was a breeze getting around. Definately go to Downtown Disney at the end of the day and explore there!

We have to go in april because I am a teacher and go on school vacas...when it will be crowded of course.
I think we will do a park hopper for the parks we wouldnt want stay all day at like epcot and animal kingdom. Plus we can get it for only $50 so that will be super helpful.
I don't know if any of the timeshare resorts that are available to us have shuttles..but def something to look into.

What is soarin??
Animal kingdom and epcot sound like two good parks to do the hopper with instead of magic kingdom and epcot.
Thanks for the suggestion

That sounds like SO much fun! We went on a mini moon in May (what would have been 6months away from our wedding) to London & Paris. We had a blast at Disneyland Paris!

I love Disney! I'm such a Disney kid at heart and FH and I went last summer and had a blast!! Definitely visit the Magic Kingdom and stay for the fireworks...they are amazing!! We liked Epcot too, especially for all the different cuisines with the different nation pavilions. Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM) and Animal Kingdom could be done in half day. Try to let people know at the parks that you are on your Honeymoon, you are sure to get some perks. I can definitely recommend some great restaurants too. Since its your Honeymoon, definitely splurge and eat at the California Grill on the top of the Contemporary Resort. Also let them know you are on your honeymoon and you may get awesome seats by the window. You have a great view of the Magic Kingodm fireworks if you eat there for a late dinner. Food is fantastic and definitely worth the splurge. Another great restaurant is Narcoosee's in the Grand Floridian. Also another splurge, but worth it. Have fun!!! All this Disney talk, makes me want to go back.
FYI, if you do definitely book this trip, book your restaurant reservations ASAP, since you will be going during spring break time and these places tend to fill up fast. If you want any other recommendations, FM me!

Well there is nothing wrong with having a part 2. I think FH and I will do the same You can actually see fireworks from both of those restaurants, but The California Grill is on like the 10 th floor so the view has no obstructions. Even though its your part 2, still tell people its your honeymoon. Doesn't hurt to get some freebies!

When we went down there we stayed in my parent's timeshare. They told us we didn't need to rent a car because the timeshare had shuttles. Well, when we got down there we found out they DON'T have shuttles. We talked about renting a car but didn't so we could 'save money'. We took taxis instead which cost an arm and a leg. We were worried about having to pay for parking at the park and the cost of the rental. I'm not sure which way is cheaper, but be prepared for transportation to be a big cost.
Don't mean to sound like a downer, we had a great time!

I already reserved a rental....I'm going to keep looking around for a cheaper price....and talk to my grandmother to see if there are any ones close to her that are off the airport because they tend to be cheaper. And yea parking is going to suck...but I figure we can come and go as we please with a rental and go see my family as well.
And yesssss I will be telling everyone its our HM. FH was like ummmm we would have been married 6 months already. I am like they won't know that!!! So does that help mostly in restaurants or anything with the parks too?

I just checked out the menu at California Grill and FH is such a picky eater I think there is like 1 thing he would actually order.
