KWR- Lucille Roberts?

KWR- Lucille Roberts?

Has anyone ever belonged to Lucille Roberts? They just opened one right downstairs from my job. It's $1 to join and I think $19 a month with no contract. They even have a ton of classes which conveniently start every weekday at 5:15 (while I get out of work at 5). I think I wanna join! I just feel like there should be a catch somewhere and I'd love to know what it is! So ladies, tell me your experience with Lucille Roberts- I wanna hear the good, the bad, and especially the ugly.

ETA: Okay, just looked at it again. It's a 2 year commitment with $1 to join or $99 to join with no commitment.

Yeah, I just read into it further, the no commitment costs more to register, but it's still not bad! Better than NYSC which is the only other place even remotely close by. Thanks though!

I have a membership to Lucys... The gyms are usually equiped with all you need and the classes r usually pretty good.

I do have a few issues though (which is why i also have a membership at a second gym):

1) If you dont have your card they wont let u in. Even if you go everyday and they know u on a first name basis. 2) The gym and the classes get realllyyyy packed during peak hours - i mean really packed! 3) They frequently implement new annoying rules then suddenly drop them Like in the Bayside gym you suddenly needed a ticket to get into each class.

Otherwise, for the money its well worth it!

I used to belong to Lucille Roberts, although they have great classes, that's pretty much that only good thing I can say about them. Other than they really are inexpensive. If it's a new gym though It'll prob be a lot cleaner/nicer than the one I used to go to in Forest Hills.

I think they give a free 1 week pass, you should try it out first.

I have been an on again off again member of Lucille for about 10 years. There aren't any catches. No contracts. No fees. You can cancel or freeze your membership at any time. I think you should go for it

Thanks ladies! I really appreciate the feedback. I think I'm going to go for a trial membership this week and see how hard it is to get into the classes. The gym is brand spanking new- I mean opened in the last 3 weeks so hopefully it won't be too crowded yet! Thanks again!

I currently go and I love the classes, I also have a personal trainer once a week for 45mins which was inexpensive and I love it.
