Has anyone had any experiences with La Grange Inn in West Islip? I am thinking of booking my wedding there.
I went to a sweet 16 there, the food was very good.. the sound in the room wasen't so good thought
I went to check it out and wasn't impressed for my wedding. The restaurant and bar were on the left side, and we had to walk through there to go to the ceremony room. There was only a wall seperating the cocktail hour room with the reception room, had ugly decor, and it kind of smelled like a stale beer/liquor. Also, the price wasn't that good for a place that wasn't in such good condition. The upstairs bridal suites are nice, mainly b/c it's a really old, pretty house.
Its a really nice place for a shower or other type of party but for a wedding I think its not really a suitable place. The food is wonderful but the price of the plate depends on what you order. FOr instance, if you order the duck, that plate will be more expensive that the chicken.
I had my sister's shower there 3 years ago and it was wonderful.
