La quinta garden city ?

Have any of you girls been successful with having an after party of sorts???

I booked this one with the intent of keeping the bar open, BUT it seems like they won't.. At my friends wedding, a year and a half ago, they did.

I can't do anything about it now since people have blocked rooms!!!!

THey told me they close the bar at 2am NO EXCEPTIONS! They said it is a distraction to other guests.

They are on my S-List an caused major problems the n ight of my wedding...

FYI! They have a contract with airlines and if a piolet and they entire STAFF of an airline need rooms. guess what... YOU GET BUMPED! All your guests get bumped! The night of my wedding there were 3 weddings staying there the hotel was double booked and people were being shuttled to the Hyatt at 2am! it was a nightmare! I lucked out only bc I had my SIL check me in before the wedding. There was another bride there with NO ROOM. They gave hers away.... Guest's of mine who were confirmed no more than 24 hours before my wedding day got there at 1am and didn't have rooms. It was terrible and I do not reccomend them at all!

ETA: After the fact when my mom called them to complain... they tried blaming my FIL...saying his rooms were booked for the thursday before my wedding so he caused all these problems. He had 4 rooms in his name... thats BS bc I made his reservations and have all lists the sales office sent me regarding my rooms for Friday the night of my wedding.... ughh...I could go on forever!

They told me 3:330am ..oh boy.

unfortuately yes... and it's really effed up that they don't tell their brides this in advance!

oh dear. We have 9 rooms blocked there for next weekend.

I was actually just there today. We have 9 rooms booked there this weekend. I spoke to Joanne and she told me that the bar is open til 2 AM every night and that it does not stay open later than that.

That really sux about getting your rooms bumped! How can it be legal to do that? If they try that crap...i am going to raise hell in there this weekend. I am so stressed....they better not try it!

The reason I booked this hotel was cause of the bar open late. Tyleen promised me this last year.

Tyleen prmosed me a lot of things too. Joanne did follow through but not without me having to tell her what Tyleen promised and convincing her. Joanne was always very nice to me. HOwever I would have liked to known they have a contract with someone else.

Oh and I should give credit to Jose at Jericho Terrace bc when my FIL got there and was telling me and everyone about him not having a room. Jose had the staff at JT call them and work it all out for them. They seriously went above and beyond. Jose even came up to me and asked if I was positive I had a room very early in the evening. As I said, I did thanks to my SIL.

The hotel manager, was a real douche bag though, he told the other brides Dad (who got bumped) 'It's my hotel if I want to double book it's my choice' and then hung up on him. I have to say I felt bad for the 1 guy behind the front desk trying to deal with over 100 people screaming at him when it honestly wasn't his fault.
