La Quinta Garden City (old Wingate) - or other recommendations??

I went there last night to inquire about a room block. Loved everything about the hotel except it doesnt have a restaurant... and the bar is very 'make shift'
Has anyone used the hotel and the bar area? Was it too crowded and noisey?
Im afraid to book there because I know our family will definitely be using the bar!

i know what you mean about the bar - its like a part of the lobby we booked there anyway

I loved everything else about the hotel- and the rate was good 159...and that included free shuttles on every 15 rooms booked.

I also looked at the Holiday Inn on Old Country Rd. Def not as new/updated...but the bar area is private and they have a restaurant! The rate they gave me was 169... no shuttle.

We booked there and we booked the bar for after the RH, was it loud-yea there were 3 weddings there...was it loud in the rooms-no. You couldnt hear anything

Did they allow you to have any music on in this area?
what drinks were they able to serve ...the bar didnt look 'full service'
