I am looking to book rooms at the La Quinta in Garden City (previously Wingate). Has anyone used them since the name change or stayed there with a wedding since the change? How was it? TIA

I know Kellybean is staying there after her wedding, ask her why she booked! Or if you can wait 2 1/2 weeks she can tell you

my wedding was before the change and they were AMAZING! i talked them down from $149 a night to $119 a night. they gave me free shuttles to the church and from the reception back to the hotel.. they even took my guests here from Ireland to the mall and the train station for sightseeing and all that, for free during the other days of their stay! they even had hot appetizers out at the bar when we came back ( i told them we needed the bar open). they even accommodated my crazy bagpiping friends who came in unexpectly... 3 bagpipers and two sets of drums and they let them play a song in the lobby! AWESOME!
they were great... i hope it's the same under the chage. GOOD LUCK!

It is def not easy to talk them down now that the name has changed, but hopefully the service and all is still the same! thanks!

It was great. Our guests were happy and the breakfast is really good. They even put appetizer type snacks out at night. They also let us bring our own snacks and put them out in the lobby sitting area.

we stayed there the night before and the night of our wedding and it was great...all our guest loved it and it was peaceful...we even had the whole lounge to ourselves ...and it worked out just great too with the breakfast
