Hi
I looked there (and every other hotel in Nassau county!!) but then found (and blocked) Viana Hotel and Spa!! I LOVE them - pics in album. The staff is great, the property is beautiful and the price is right!! They even have a game room (pool table, flat screen, etc.)
I thought the staff at La Quinta was a bit rude. If Viana is too far maybe the Hyatt? They were nice and It's closer to the La Quinta. The only downside-they didn't have a full bar or decent breakfast area.
Hope that helps!

Thank you! The pictures look beautiful. Is there a bar area open to the hotel guests? My FH and I really want to be able to continue the party at a hotel afterwards. La Quinta's bar is open until 2 am. Also, is there a continental breakfast offered? Thanks for your help!

The pics don't even do it justice! There is a bar area directly in front of the game room. I'm not sure what time they are open to but I'm sure they would work with you. They do offer a continental breakfast - I believe hot and cold. They also have a shuttle depending on the venue. Definitely worth checking out.

I am booked with them for my wedding. They have changed sales people a few times since i booked last year. I love the breakfast in the morning so we can all meet there and yes the bar is open til 2.

I used La Quinta for my room block in Aug of '09 and they were great. It seems that they have a high turn over with they staff responsible for booking the room blocks but I made sure to get everything in writing and had no problems.

Re: La Quinta Inn & Suites
I did. I have mixed reviews for them! We had sooo many problems with my block! People were booking rooms under my block, but they weren't getting applied to my block at all. I had to hunt down my guests and find out who was meant to be on the block and left off by mistake. Also, originally Tyleen (guest services...she's no longer there) told me that I could use their shuttle services for $90 each way to my RH (if I didn't book 15 rooms..then it would have been free). So, on the week of the wedding, I called to let them know I wanted shuttle services and was willing to pay for it. They told me that they couldn't legally charge me for the shuttle...but they wouldn't let me use the shuttle either, even though my RH was literally 5 mins away. It was really a total joke. Also in our bridal suite, the fridge smelled of spoiled milk. We had the handyman come check it out and he 'fixed it'. Well, all he did was wipe it down. It smelled up our whole suite for 2 days, which was real fun when me and the BP got ready there. The bar was super lame at night as well. The bartender didn;t know how to mix any drinks and looked really annoyed that we were making him work at 1 AM...even though we tipped him huge amounts. Oh well. Other than that, the guets rooms were nice and the beds were super comfortable!
