Lactose intolerance

Lactose intolerance

does that get developed, i.e. it is possible that you were able to drink milk before and now you can't.

I am not normally a milk drinker, but just had a glass now, and my stomach doesn't feel good...

So I am worried. Anyone know?

yes, i loved milk when i was younger, but now when i drink it i get bad cramps and pains in my tummy. i try to stay away from milk, but i do eat cheese, which does not seem to bother me. if i do drink milk, it is usually on the weekends when i am home, otherwise if i drink it during the week and go to work i am in pain! my dr. told me to try the lactaid pills, but i have not done that yet.

Re: Lactose intolerance

Happened to me and my FI. In college, I could only tolerate skim milk, though I could eat cheese, ice cream and other dairy products. When I was 25, I started to have major lactose intolerance. For a while there, I couldn't even drink the Lactaid milk (for lactose intolerant people). Now I can drink Lactaid, but FI can't. There are pills you can take, but they do get expensive. I've dealt with this for 6 years and you learn to avoid certain things. If you have any questions, you can always FM me.

Yes, you can get it out of nowhere.I was always able to drink milk and all of a sudden a few years ago I became lactose intolerant.I can't drink regular milk even if I take the pills.I get a bad stomach ache.
