My wedding is less then 8 months away and I have next to nothing checked off..
I have my hall (duh)... My dress.. My 'maybe' invites.. My florist and well thats about it.. I know who I want to use for photography but haven't had the chance to get down to him.. He has weird hours 12-8 M-TH.... I know which DJ but haven't booked him yet either... I need some motivation... I haven't gotten nything else.. My girls are suppose to get measured with-in the next 3 weeks.. So I'm hoping that goes over smoothly. But what can get me going!!! I need your help ladies I know theres a ton of stuff and I think thats what is getting me stumped.. I'm overwhelmed

make a list and just do things one at a time..once u check one off move to the next..dont start doing 10 things at once..its too crazy

I agree with Gina you pick one vendor at a time and start from there. But I don't think it has nothing about you not being motivated because then you would be on the site or interested in wedding talk. I think you main prioperty should be booking major vendor photo way before you have girls measured.

Definitely go down the vendor list one by one...do one a week, or every two weeks. Definitely do photo first, and then when you scrounge up another deposit, do dj. Then you'll be in ok shape to do some little things...limos can hold off a bit.

that's what i'm doing...checking off a gigantic list. check check check. it really helps keep you focused! there are a lot of great lists out there on the internet and in wedding planning books too! they helped me get started (because you KNOW i wasn't ALSO going to write my own list!!)

i have a giant piece of oak tag on my wall with my giant list...not very classy but it does the job

You have your very own drive thru menu of wedding items on your wall?.. Thats hysterical I shouldn't laugh because thats probally what I need..lol

it stares at me every day but i love when i get to cross something off...im the kinda person who needs to see what i have to staring at me in the face so i get moving
